2022 The Year the Hourglasses Break: The Timeline of Restoration – A Word by Candace Roberts

I’ve been seeking the Lord for a word for 2022. Just writing those numbers out sparks something inside of me that’s hard to put into words. Over the last 7 years, I have walked through a wilderness that can truly, be best described as a long dark night of the soul.
The light of the moon and His love has shined bright and not only sustained, but brought beautiful gifts in the middle of the valley.
However, restoration has remained a promise that, at times, seems just out of reach. By far, the most precious thing the enemy seems to steal in the valley, is time. Time with our children, time with Jesus, time fulfilling our call. There, in the dark night of the soul, times that are supposed to hold great joy; are often overshadowed. In the valley, time seems to slip away and the enemy comes to lie and tell us it is never to return. For many, the grief over this lost time is unbearable. They feel that their life has been stolen and all is lost.
As I was doing dishes this evening, I began to listen to a song called Restoration. The woman began to sing, He restores everything, over and over again.
Suddenly, I was taken into a vision of a room in Heaven. In this room, there were shelves filled with hourglasses. An angel entered the room and suddenly the hour glasses began to explode. However, they did not shatter, as the glasses broke beautiful rays of light burst forth from each one.
As they burst, it was as if each grain of sand was restored back to its original timeline. His timeline, created at the foundations of the earth; before it was tainted by pain, restrictions, and loss. A timeline that freed us, instead of holding us hostage. A timeline; bound by nothing, limitless, like Him. This timeline did not “run out”, it wasn’t linear, but infinite.
Then, I was taken back to a memory of the moment at the beginning of my valley season. This was a moment of my deepest pain, where I chose to finally lay everything down. I laid my hands out and promised to let everything slip through them. I would climb the mountain with my hands wide open. I would hold onto nothing but Him. That promise would be fulfilled over and over again during the next 7 years. Anything I could touch or imagine, all my hopes and dreams of the way things would be, I let it all fall to the ground. Pain and trauma seemed to steal moments and keep me from being all that God has called me to be.
In that moment, I knew instantly what I was seeing were the hourglasses of the faithful ones. The ones, who like me, had been willing to give it all to Him. To us the sand represented hurt, loss and time that we would never get back. But to Him, each grain of sand represented a beautiful sacrifice. A piece to a puzzle He already planned out.
In the natural it looked as if the hourglass had run out of time, but in this heavenly place, their time had been fulfilled. 2022 is the year the hourglasses, filled to the brim with the faithfulness of those who truly love Him, will explode with destiny. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. He is the restorer of everything, including time. In 2022 we will see what our carnal minds cannot fathom.
I saw glimpses of families who had lost time together sitting around tables, laughing and overflowing with joy. It was as if they were set onto His supernatural timeline, and time in the natural ceased to exist. They were able to sit for hours while the clock never moved. There was no rush, nowhere else to be. Their hourglass had burst and they were now on a timeline of restoration.
I saw people sitting at desks writing books, years in the making, while the clock stood still. I saw things happen in moments, that should have taken years. Those who sat in pain and could not feel joy, were walking down the street breathing in the air, the warmth of the sun, and feeling every moment, almost in ecstasy, there was so much joy.
Everything the enemy attempted to steal, and everything you thought he had, are about to be restored. 2022 holds the keys to unlock the timeline of restoration. There is a heavenly exchange taking place, and His glory is about to burst through every wall that the enemy attempted to surround you with
These hourglasses held the pain, disappointment, loss, trauma and time you thought you lost. But what the enemy meant to destroy you with, God is turning to glory. The hourglasses are about to burst forth with light, blessings, restoration and destiny.
2022 holds mysteries, He is restoring us back to the beginning, before darkness ever touched us. He is restoring us back to His heart, back to the place He always meant for us to be.
Don’t lament on what was, on what could have been. What is coming, is far greater than anything you have lost. You will be restored to MORE than before!
2022 is the year the remnant closest to His heart is separated even more. We will no longer be bound by natural limits. We are moving out, breaking free and going beyond what the world has ever seen.
Whatever you can dream, whatever you can imagine, whatever you can ask for, multiply it infinitely. NOTHING is lost, nothing is waisted with Him. He restores EVERYTHING.
