As I was sitting before the Lord this morning thanking Him again for a major victory that He gave me a few days ago, I couldn’t help but hone in on the words patience, persistence, and perseverance. These three P’s, (among other P’s) must be staples in the life of Believers.
As I meditated on these words, this thought came to mind: those who wallow in their weaknesses, weariness, wrongs, and wounds will be wiped out. According to I Peter 5:8, we have an adversary who is seeking whom He may be able to devour. When we are weak, weary, wrestling with wrongs, or wounded, we are easy prey.
Do yourself a favor and do not wallow in these things. Doing so will wear your faith down leaving you susceptible to defeat. Yes, the obstacles and onslaughts will come, but may we always be found with our three P’s in practice. They are critical to not being devoured. Don’t let the enemy wipe you out by wearing you out! Put on your patience, persistence, and perseverance and keep walking in victory.
I don’t know what promise you are waiting to see fulfilled, but I do know this, just as Abraham waited patiently in faith and saw the promise fulfilled, so shall you (Hebrews 6:15). Just as Esther found favor in the sight of others (Esther 2:15-17), so shall you find favor. Just like that widow woman in Luke 18:4-5, your yes, your justice is coming. Your patience, persistence, and perseverance will soon pay off. Trust the One who gives you the victory!
