What The Lord Showed Me In A Dream About How To Experience Lasting Breakthrough

On 3/24/20 the Lord gave me a powerful dream about how to experience the fullness breakthrough. He began to show me many in the Body of Christ were discouraged especially because, what is going on right now with the corona virus. There were many powerful words released for 2020 about this being a year and season of breakthrough. I want to encourage you that those words are still true. The enemy will always have a counter attack to the things of God to distract us, and bring discouragement. Just because there is opposition doesn’t mean what God said isn’t true. I believe the Lord is using what is going on right now to strengthen and provoke believers. Many times we don’t realize the strength we carry until we’re put in a position to use it.
In the dream I saw a person standing at a door that was shut. They had been standing there for a while waiting for the door to open, for breakthrough to come. They got discouraged and decided to doubt the promise God had given them, and they walked away. What they didn’t realize was as they turned around to walk away, the door began to open. They missed their breakthrough. In the dream I began to prophesy and declare to the Body of Christ, that the reason many were not experiencing breakthrough in their lives was because they were not learning how to stand. When we learn how to endure and stand we will see the manifestation of breakthrough in our lives. The Lord doesn’t want us to walk in partial breakthrough or partial victory, He wants us to walk in the fullness of it. In the dream He showed me an iceberg, and just like how we can see a measure of the iceberg above the surface, breakthrough can be like that, but below the surface the majority of the iceberg resides. The Lord showed me there were so many layers and dimensions to breakthrough just like the depth of the iceberg, but many believers were only experiencing the surface level breakthrough. There is a realm of breakthrough the Lord desires for believers to live in and walk in, not just visit.
This dream reminded me of the story in 2 Kings 13 with King Jehoash and Elisha. The king had summoned for Elisha to come because Aram was getting ready to come and take the out. Elisha came and told the king to get his bow and an arrow, and to open the east window. The prophet put his hand on the king’s and shot the arrow. Elisha declared, “The Lord’s arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Aram.” Elisha was saying to the king the Lord is going before you in victory like the Breaker (Micah 2:13) He then told the king to grab the other arrows and strike the ground. The prophet got mad at him because he only hit the ground three time. Elisha said this to him, “You should’ve struck five or six times, then you would have struck down Aram until you had destroyed it. But now you shall strike Aram only three times (2 Kings 13:19). Later on in the chapter it says the king had only three victories over Aram.
Just like in the dream this king settled for just enough victory. He struck the ground according to the measure of His. The Lord doesn’t want you and I to settle for a little breakthrough or victory. He wants us to completely break through to the new place in Him. The happens when we learn to stand and endure to see the whole thing come to pass. Ephesians 6:10 TPT says, “Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you.” The thing is you’re not just standing waiting for breakthrough. As you stand you’re being infused with the supernatural and explosive power of God. Often times we miss breakthrough because we stand in our own strength and not the Lord’s strength. I want to encourage you like Paul said, “Stand victorious” as you waiting for the door of breakthrough to open. The Breaker has gone before you releasing the arrow of Victory. Don’t settle for partial victory or breakthrough. When you learn to stand you can walk in realms and dimensions of breakthrough, and bring others into that. Keep standing victoriously and watch the full manifestation of breakthrough come in your life.
