A Christmas to Remember
It was unseasonably warm that year in December, but Christmas preparations were in full swing. We had a couple in our church who had recently left the Amish culture, and they were filled with excitement over Christmas during their new “English” life.
It was only a few weeks before Christmas when the young, formerly-Amish woman called me on the phone and asked, “Would you please pray for my husband? When he was five years old, he was burnt over 95% of his body. He was actually not expected to live past the age of seventeen, but he is still here. The doctors told his parents that he needed repeated surgeries in order to provide him with skin grafts, but they didn’t follow up on the surgeries. He is in so much pain.”
I didn’t completely understand the situation, so I asked, “What is causing the pain?”
She answered, “His skin is too tight, and he can’t bend or move much in any direction.”
I asked her to call her husband to the phone so that I could pray for him directly. I could hear her calling her husband insistently several times. Then I heard him say in an irritated voice, “What do you want?” Then all I heard were whispers between them. I could tell that he was reluctant to receive prayer by the length of time it took him to come to the phone.
When the man came to the phone, I asked him a few more questions. In answer, he explained, “I went in for a follow-up visit, and the doctors told me that I had to have surgery, but the chances of the surgery being successful are only 50%. They tell me I will be disabled for the rest of my life.”
Because this man and his wife had formerly been Amish, it had been difficult
for them to be away from their families at this time. A woman from our church had invited them to our services, and we quickly adopted this young couple as our own. After they began to attend our church, I was privileged to lead them both to the Lord. Because of their Amish background, they were just beginning to understand Jesus as
I reminded him that Jesus paid for his healing before I prayed for him, and then I asked the Lord to supernaturally stretch the skin on his back. When I was done, I asked, “How is the pain level now?”
He was quiet for a moment, and then he answered with no expression in his voice, “I don’t feel any pain.”
I wondered if he were telling me the truth, so I said, “Try to find the pain. See if you can make it hurt again.”
After a few minutes, he replied with no emotion, “Nothing makes it hurt now. I don’t feel any pain.” I got off of the phone still wondering if he was being honest with me.

Because it was a mild December that year, I saw him a few days later outside of his workplace. I asked, “How is your back?” Instead of answering, he demonstrated. He bent all around with a big grin on his face. He bent back and forth and from side to side.
I asked, “Is there any pain?”
He said, “No pain at all.”
He could not move like that before I had prayed because of the tight skin. God had supernaturally stretched his skin. To this day, he has not had to have a surgery, and he still does not have any pain.
In a matter of a few months, this man experienced many new things. He learned to drive a car and use electricity. He bought his first Christmas tree and decorated it with lights. Most importantly, though, he came to know Jesus as both his Savior and his Healer. It was a Christmas that he will never forget.
You can make this a Christmas to remember for many others that you come in contact with on a daily basis. You have the power of the Healer inside of you. He longs to touch and set others free. The enemy may sneer and say, “Everyone else can do it, but not you.” That is a lie! Remember Who lives in you. Some may only need a hug or a smile. Many need to know Jesus as their Savior. Make it a “Christmas to remember” for those around you.
Perhaps you need a miracle during this Christmas season. Right now, say, “Jesus is my Healer. He paid for my healing, and it is mine.” Don’t become discouraged if you have not received yet. Jesus leads us to victory!
Now put your hand on the place in which you need healing and receive His healing touch. Lord, cause Your power to come on each person reading this. In Jesus’ name, I command pain, sickness, disease, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, to GET OUT of their bodies. In Jesus’ name, amen
A TURNAROUND FOR YOU..
A word by Dana Jarvis
I decree you are making the spiritual journey from the bondage of Egypt into your promised land of destiny. I know you have grown weary. Do not let the murmurings and complaining attitudes rule you. It causes the faith to waiver! Your focus is upon the cup of bitter waters that you are currently drinking from.
Rest assured that your God is making these bitter waters sweet!
You shall taste and see that the Lord is good! You are going to see such extravagance in your daily life. He is delivering much into your hands so reach up and take hold. Just as he was with you before, he is with you now. You are going to drink deep of the Living Waters. The bitter waters of life have tried to steal all joy.
However I hear the Lord say, “It is done, I am the Lord who heals you. I am the Lord who will restore you. I am the Lord who will provide your every need. I am the One that is making the bitter waters sweet!”
I feel so strongly that God is removing your cup of bitter waters you have had to drink for so long. He is causing a turnaround for you in a situation that you desperately need him to move. I am speaking to several and know this word is for you. Even as the Lord led Moses and the children of Israel from their bondage at the Red Sea, it still took one step of faith. One step of faith is all it takes to cause a release from all of this. Take a moment and sow into good ground by giving into Spirit Fuel. For just a contribution of $25, $50, or even $100 or more given into Spirit Fuel is an active step and good ground on which to sow. It is a powerful ministry reaching the world for Christ. As you sow that offering, it is that act of faith that will cause the Red Sea where you are standing to part in your life. The bitter cup will be removed and the sweetness of the Lord shall begin to flow!
