A Word of Encouragement for England

A Word by Mandy Woodhouse

I awoke a few mornings ago with a picture in my Spirit of a small village on the English country-side. I am unsure of the specific location, but I heard joyful laughter, cows lowing and Church bells ringing. I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Oh Great Britain – How I will make you GREAT again!”

THE LAND OF GOOD SOIL NOT FORGOTTEN

I went into another vision and saw rolling, green hills for as far as the eyes could see. On each hill and in every valley there was a stone structure. Some had once been a castle or a large family home, and some were old Chapels. All had been nearly abandoned. The stones on these structures were grey in colour and very cold to the touch. The windows were closed and there was no light within.

Though the green hills were still lush with long, vibrant green grass, the sheep and cattle on the hills were half-starved and the skin was hanging off of their bones. The brooks and creeks were not dry but the water was stagnant. The soil, however, was rich and the grass remained healthy. I wondered how the livestock could be so emaciated and the waters so still and yet the grass was so beautiful and the soil obviously GOOD. I asked the Lord, and I heard Him say that LIFE and HEALTH were returning to every context in England. He pointed at the soil and said, “I have not forgotten the GOOD HERITAGE of this ancient land. Regardless of what is seen above the ground, this is good soil.”

“He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations” – Psalm 105:8

COME ALIVE AGAIN, ENGLAND!

My vision then shifted to pockets of Jesus-lovers PRAYING across England. I heard their cries go up, and I was moved to tears as I saw them touch the heart of the Father. And then, I saw Him move on their behalf! I saw that the cows and sheep on the hills began to feed on the grass again. I saw that flowers began to bloom around the livestock and trees. I saw that fresh, clean water began to flush out the murkiness of the brooks and streams. I noticed also that the cold stone structures across England began to change from cold and grey to warm and soft brown in color. The stone was so warm and inviting that I took a closer look, and realized that the windows had opened again, and there were candles and sweet-smelling foods coming from within the structures. What I saw was LIFE returning to England, and even the livestock began to grow fat and stronger. The prayers of the sons and daughters brought life back to the land, and I felt that more miracles were to come from their intercession.

“The wilderness and the desert will be glad, and the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; Like the crocus It will blossom profusely and rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God. Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, “Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you.” Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the Arabah.” – Isaiah 35:1-6

THE CHURCH IS AWAKENING

My vision changed back to those who had been praying. I also saw Churches across the major cities in England, along with the country Churches, and they were beginning to fill with people. I saw that PRAYER and UNITY were returning to the Bride of Christ in England. Through prayer, I could see that other, smaller Churches began to pop up all across the country. I saw that these Churches were Isaiah 26:8 families (“Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts”). The desire of their hearts was to build FAMILY that desires only to REDEEM THE REPUTATION OF JESUS.

The Churches were starting to rebuild. Through prayer and unity, they were tapping into their once-strong religious heritage. I saw the Church AWAKEN and take back what the enemy stole from them. I saw them rebuild and receive double recompense.

They will restore ruins from long ago and rebuild what was long devastated. They will renew ruined cities and desolations of past generations….But you will be known as Priests of Yahweh, and called Servants of our God. You will feast on the wealth of nations and revel in their riches! Because you received a double dose of shame and dishonour, you will inherit a double portion of endless joy and everlasting bliss! “For I, Yahweh, love fairness and justice, and I hate stealing and sin. I will rightly repay them because of my faithfulness and enter into an everlasting covenant with them. Their seed will be famous among the nations, and their descendants the center of attention of the people. All who see them will recognize that they are the seed that Yahweh has blessed with favor!” – Isaiah 61:4, 6-9 (TPT)

UNITY AND JOY

The Churches across the whole of England began to grow strong in their knees. I saw that where they would feel anxiety or intimidation by the politically correct spirit in operation, they were now strengthened and able to stand against sin, stand against injustice, and stand against the things that had grieved the Father’s heart in the past. They were a family fully awake and fully alive to Who Jesus truly is.

I also saw a great unity amongst the denominations and Churches. My vision changed to a map of England. I saw the Church praying FOR EACH OTHER and gathering together in agreement to see Jesus the King of England again, and as this happened the blood of Christ began to flow across the map. I saw that as the blood flowed and covered England, the darkness had no choice but to flee. I also sensed a great deal of JOY and the oil of joy being poured out upon sons and daughters as they bonded in unity.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard,Even Aaron’s beard, Coming down upon the edge of his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon coming down upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing—life forever.” – Psalm 133

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR ENGLAND

“For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.” – Psalm 50:10

I feel the Lord wants to remind you, beautiful England, that He is the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Your soil is good because of your heritage and because of His love, and He has not forgotten the promises He made to your ancestors! He has not overlooked the years of intercession made by the precious saints through the ages. Though at times it looks like corruption, sin or compromise have taken ownership of the land, the Father says it is HE who owns those cattle, not the world!

As the livestock grows fatter and healthier, so will your economy. I see you beginning to flourish and shine like never before. As the stones on the homes, castles and Churches grow warm and gain colour again, I see depression lifting off of your nation, in the Name of Jesus! I see a BREAKTHROUGH in the area of mental health. I see the economy FLOURISHING. I see the Church AWAKENING. I see LIFE AND HEALTH coming to make you even Greater.

I see that England will be known for the GOODNESS OF THE LORD in the land of the living! Take courage, England. The King of Kings is alive!

“I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” – Psalm 27:13-14
