All Is Not Lost – A Word by Angie Stolba
Many have felt to be in such a dark night of the soul. The enemy has sought to relentlessly wear you down in this season through the many trials that you have encountered. Some of you feel as though you are barely hanging on, yet I hear the Lord saying, “Beloved, all is not lost!”
The popular worship song, Graves Into Gardens by Brandon Lake, has been resonating with my spirit recently. Just as the song says, “You {Lord} turn graves into gardens. You turn bones into armies. You turn seas into highways. You’re the only one who can.” The Lord is turning graves into gardens in this season. He is bringing life to what has appeared to be dead and beyond repair.
When Abraham placed his beloved son, Isaac, on the altar as an offering to the Lord, it appeared that all was lost; yet the Lord provided. Before he could sacrifice his only child, God sent a spotless lamb, making a way when there didn’t appear to be one (Genesis 22:13)
Like Abraham, many of you have placed all that is dear to you on the alter, and it would appear as though all of your dreams have been lost. Yet I hear the Lord saying, “I am the God of restoration. I am the only one who can bring the dead things back to life. Do not allow yourself to become bitter or disillusioned by those things that the enemy has sent to discourage you. I am the God who delights in taking what was intended for harm and turning it for your favor (Genesis 50:20)!”
Though things may seem dark right now, and you did not anticipate all that has come against you, hold steady. Keep your eyes on Him. The battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47)!
I break off deferred hope in the name of Jesus! The Lord is with you, and He is for you. He is making a way for you, even if you cannot see it. He is making all things new, so take hope. All is not Lost!
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten– the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.”
JOEL 2:25-26
