I decided to get away for a few days alone with God. I found a B & B on the lake here in my city. It was beautiful and peaceful. I was going through some trying times in my marriage and blended family. It was back in 2014. I desperately needed this time away. I felt like my mind would snap if I didn’t.
I laid down on the couch one afternoon in this suite, closed my eyes, listening to some soft soothing music. I was desperate to hear from God and some direction and encouragement from Him. He was faithful and gave me a vivid open encounter. I found myself walking down huge white stone stairs. My paws were of a mighty lioness. At the bottom of the stairs was a round platform made of iron. There was the word “BOLD” in solid block letters. End of encounter.
After I came through this encounter, I knew what God was telling me. He was going to make me a lioness that will be “BOLD” no longer fearful and timid.
Today, I am no longer that fearful and timid woman I was then. God had fulfilled His promise. He started working on me back then encouraging me to keep my head held up with my face fixed on His gaze. I have gone through many trials and tribulations since then yet I am solid in Christ. He has made me a mighty and bold lioness for His glory and there I am to stand on His foundation made of Iron.
If you feel like the world is caving in on you and don’t know how to continue. If fear has gripped you and you don’t know how to get out of it? I encourage you to come to Jesus and sit still and wait on Him. He has something to show you. It’s time to get away with Him today.
