Ask Me For Your Inheritance – A Word by Amber Johnson

Recently in prayer, I heard the Lord say:
“Ask Me for your inheritance. Ask, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance. Everything I have is yours. I have held nothing back. All of heaven and earth is awaiting the manifestation of My sons and daughters. The earth is desperately longing for My sons and daughters to take back what is theirs. I give you power to tread on snakes and scorpions. I give you authority to reverse sickness, disease, and death: to reverse every evil scheme and bring the Kingdom by force. I will not do what I have given you to do. Rise up, My people. Take hold of your inheritance. This is your season. Prepare the way for Me. I will manifest My glory in ways you have never seen on the earth. Prepare the way for My coming. Prepare to see My glory.”
INHERITANCE
As I was reflecting on this word, the word “inheritance” was strongly highlighted to me. So many scriptures talk about inheritance, and I began to meditate on what it is our inheritance consists of, as well as the legal ramifications of what an inheritance is.
Inheritance is something that is ours by legal right, and it is for now. Romans 8:17 says that we are co-heirs with Christ. That means that everything Jesus inherited when He rose victoriously from the dead belongs to us as well!
And what is it we inherit? The Kingdom! Luke 12:32 says it is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom, and one day the kingdoms of this world will all become the Kingdom of our God and of Jesus (Revelation 11:15). This is why the Lord can also say that He will give us the “nations” for our inheritance (Psalm 2:8), because those nations will all be a part of His Kingdom, which is our inheritance!
What else does the Kingdom consist of? The Kingdom is of power (1 Corinthians 4:20) and is advanced by forcefully taking hold of it, forcefully taking it out of the hands of our adversary (Matthew 11:12). It is power to trample on every lying serpent and stinging scorpion that would come against us; it is the power to overcome ALL power of the Enemy; it is power to be unharmed – to reverse any sickness, injury, pain, loss or bondage caused by the Enemy and to come out unharmed (Luke 10:19). It is the authority to heal the sick, cast out demons and raise the dead (Matthew 10:8). Blood-bought believer, this is the authority you have freely received and are instructed to freely give! This is your inheritance.
BLESSING
As a part of our inheritance, we are also heirs of the promise of Abraham (Galatians 3:29). Like Abraham, we are blessed to be a blessing. Anyone who blesses us is blessed, and whoever curses us is cursed (Genesis 12:1-3). Abraham was blessed with wealth and land and children, provision and protection, so He could be an example of what the Kingdom would look like – and by faith and the blood of Jesus, that same blessing is ours!
LEGAL ACCESS
I hear the Lord saying urgently over His Church, “Ask Me for your inheritance!” Because the inheritance is already rightfully ours! We just have to take hold of it! We just have to want it. If you don’t want what you’ve been given, then you won’t use it – just like the servant in the parable of the talents who buried his gift rather than putting it to use (Matthew 25). We learn from the same parable that those who use what they have – those who take hold of their inheritance – end up getting double what they put in! Double portion is yours when you activate what you have. And blood-bought believer let me tell you, what you already have is the “Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead” living on the inside of you! (Romans 8:11)
The Kingdom is yours and the Kingdom is Now. I feel the weighty anticipation of heaven and earth, as the sons and daughters of God are about to be revealed in this season (Romans 8:19), stepping into our inheritance through renewed understanding of who we are in Him to manifest the Kingdom of God on earth.
