Assemble Joel’s army! The book of Joel is only 3 chapters, the shortest in the Old Testament. Short but mighty, I can relate. It is not always quantity but quality. Joel in Hebrew means “the Lord is God.” Joel’s message started with repentance and the coming day of the Lord. Repent and believe, sound familiar.
Jesus’s message was the same.
“From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.””
Matthew 4:17 NKJV
Joel’s message
“Alas for the dy! For the day of the Lord is at hand; It shall come as destruction from the Almighty.”
Joel 1:15 NKJV
The Kingdom is at hand and every Kingdom needs a mighty army to protect and serve the King. Joel in His prophetic ministry seen an army of WARRIORS, served to defend the King of Kings and His Kingdom. The Kingdom the son of man would deliver. Joel’s word was delivered to the tribe of Judah, but also speaks of the nations as a whole. Joel says in 2:13…
“So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.”
Joel 2:13 NKJV
God has been after His people’s hearts from the beginning. Not works so no man can boast. Tearing clothes and rolling up and down, will not move the heart of God. No more than a child taking a tantrum. It is your heart that moves toward Him, moves His heart toward you. Turn to the Lord your God. Repentance means to turn around and go another way. In James 4:8 there is a promise if you draw near to God, HE WILL draw near to you.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
James 4:8 NKJV
In Joel 2:28-32, God gives a promise of His Spirit. It is the same promise in Acts 2:17. I have seen churches with mighty moves of God, say we are living in the last days. But the last started 2000 years ago, whn Jesus left so the Holy Spirit could come in the upper room. We are in the last days because 1000 days on earth are like a single day in heaven, and a day in heaven are like a thousand on earth. This description should be our everyday occurrence. Not to be used as a fear tactic to get right because the Lord is coming tomorrow. No one knows the day or hour. We should always be ready and on guard. We could be living our last day here, life is but a vapor.
““And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.”

One of my favorite scriptures in the Bible is Joel 2:25.
““So I will restre to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.”

I focused so much on the restoration, that I almost missed the army. Then the Spirit of the Lord impressed on me, assemble My army Joel spoke of. Now is the time. Joel’s army of Warriors are to rise up. EVERYONE reading this, there is a warrior spirit inside of you. It has always been there. You need to wake it it up, you have been quiet to long. Right now wherever you are let out a warrior cry!

Nice try, not even close. This is a warrior you are waking up. It has been dormant for years. I said let out a WARRIOR cry.

That was it…
You are a Warrior never forget it, there is a fire before you and behind you, blazing the way. We run like swift steeds. We do not break ranks, or push one another. This is the description of the warrior army you belong to.
“Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the Lord is coming, For it is at hand: A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness, Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, The like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them, Even for many successive generations. A fire devours before them, And behind them a flame burns; The land is like the Garden of Eden before them, And behind them a desolate wilderness; Surely nothing shall escape them. Their appearance is like the appearance of horses; And like swift steeds, so they run. With a noise like chariots Over mountaintops they leap, Like the noise of a flaming fire that devours the stubble, Like a strong people set in battle array. Before them the people writhe in pain; All faces are drained of color. They run like mighty men, They climb the wall like men of war; Every one marches in formation, And they do not break ranks. They do not push one another; Every one marches in his own column. Though they lunge between the weapons, They are not cut down. They run to and fro in the city, They run on the wall; They climb into the houses, They enter at the windows like a thief. The earth quakes before them, The heavens tremble; The sun and moon grow dark, And the stars diminish their brightness. The Lord gives voice before His army, For His camp is very great; For strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; Who can endure it?”

So now is the time, you sit in the valley of decision, the day of the Lord is near.
It is already here. Will you join up. Will you rise up in the Warrior Spirit that you are. You are not alone. God sees a warrior inside of you, He knows because He placed it there. It is time you see yourself like your creator see you.
God has spoken, “ROUSE THE WARRIORS, prepare for holy war.”
“Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for holy war; rouse the warriors; let all the men of war advance and attack!”
Joel 3:9 CSB
Remember there is no armor for your back. Why? We are always advancing the enemy. No retreat in the Kingdom of God. Advance and attack. The enemy is terrified of child of God understanding there identity in Christ. Even the weakest is stronger than the enemy when we are in Christ. So let the weak say I AM strong.
“Beat your plows into swords and your pruning knives into spears. Let even the weakling say, “I am a warrior.””
