Calling All Pastors!
As I was driving home from a fishing trip yesterday, the Lord began to speak to me about the apostolic call on my life. As a pastor of a church of less than 50 people, I didn’t feel like much of an apostle. Many have recognized how the prophetic moves in my life and that I have a pastor’s heart but discovering my apostolic side was something that was intimidating.
I remember when I was 14 years old, I walked into a church and an apostle laid hands on me. I felt the power of God flow through me and I felt the anointing on my life for three days. The next day I woke up feeling so weak. I truly began to understand what some preachers meant when they said that our bodies were not meant to carry such glory. A few years later, another mighty man of God known as an apostle laid hands on me. I didn’t feel much, but that night I had a dream that the particular apostle dumped oil on me. Then I felt electrocuted.
I had another apostolic experience when another apostle really well known laid hands on me and I began shaking under the power of God for hours. I have purposely left out the names of these mighty men of God because I don’t want to draw away from the message God has placed on my heart to share through Spirit Fuel.
I love the ministry of Spirit Fuel because of the cutting edge prophetic edge that it is bringing to the body of Christ. Many are encouraged, fed spiritually and even received impartation. That is awesome. But I believe there is so much more. I believe that Spirit Fuel will release an apostolic vein in this season that will inspire many to advance the Kingdom. I see many ministries being birthed in the Spirit. Specifically, the Lord showed me clearly was that many church plants would be birthed in America this spring.

Many reading this have felt called by God to plant a church. Church plants are needed because they are the number one methodology under heaven to reach the lost. We need churches that are relevant. We need churches that carry the power of God. We need churches that reach the lost. A church plant is different that when someone gets mad and starts meetings. We don’t need any more church transfers. God won’t bless a church that is started because of division. Many so called pastors start churches because they were unwilling to submit to spiritual authority. Some however should have left and started their own church. But there is a right way of doing things and a wrong way. A life giving church plant reaches those who are far from God. It is inevitable that people will come from other churches. But they should leave with a blessing. If you are reading this and you have started a church because of division, you should repent and ask for forgiveness to the pastor you betrayed and to your congregation.
Is God calling you to step out and plant a church? God doesn’t require for you to have enough faith for the entire journey. He is looking for those who have enough faith to take the first step. Many want to know how to plant a church. It is all about relationships. The Pastors should make a list of 10-30 people and meet with them and share their vision about the church. Vision casting is very key when you are starting out. Those who agree to help you plant your church will bring others as you inspire them to do so. Remember that leaders reproduce who they are not what they say. Model for the the kind of things you want them to do. The hardest part isn’t the beginning. It is the middle of the journey. They should also brush up on their leadership skills and team build skills. You also should pray like crazy. Don’t look for the approval of man. Look for God’s approval. Many will try to talk you out of it but if God calls you to it, He will provide provision for the vision He has given you. Plant life giving churches!
You may not feel qualified. Let me tell you, I am 29 years old with a young family, working a full time job and all I had to start was a dream. I moved across the country to start a church with nothing. Now I am seeing the dream unfold before my eyes. It is so rewarding to see all the the people He is sending into my life to help me plant a church. It was worth all that my wife and I sacrificed when people started getting saved. I know this will be my first of many churches. Are you willing to be used by God? Are you willing to pioneer a church that brings Christ the rewards of His sufferings? Is God calling you to help establish a new church in your community? Support your local church planters. It is easy to be a part of something that is already established. Do you have a break anointing on your life? Do you want to be part of something significant? Are you willing to pay the price? I pray this inspires you and that God would use this blog to bring many of you into your purpose.
