Crossing over to Divine Healing by Andy Sanders

I Was Dying

I was in China, extremely ill and listless, lying on a small bed and unaware of why I was semi-coherent. Why was this all happening to my body? I couldn’t figure it out.

It was 2008 and my health had been great going into China, and now, just a few weeks later, I was deathly sick. Others in the group said my skin was ashen and the color was gone from the reddish tones I normally had.

My body was shutting down.

What I didn’t know at the time was that my body was internally poisoned—preparing to go into septic shock. Why? The plumbing where we were staying at the time was not up to US code, and all of the sewage vapors from the building that we were staying in were venting directly into my room; the room that I slept in at night and sometimes hung out in. The bottom line was that I was dying—and I could feel it happening fast!

I was informed that a helicopter was ready to be called and sent into flight, and within forty-five minutes I would be picked up and heading to the best hospital in China. Relief flooded my mind, but then I heard God speak to me, “No! Don’t go to the hospital.”

What? Had my brain just fallen out of my head, or was God taking me past my healing comfort zones to a completely new extreme—a do-or-die moment, being thrown past a threshold of no return? Why on earth can’t I go to the hospital? I thought.

Healing is easy to believe for when it’s not you who’s dying. There I was, ready to go to the hospital, but something in my heart whispered otherwise. This is the moment when our common sense is overwritten by the indisputable voice of an all-sufficient God.

Moments later—without any prior warning, and for reasons that I can’t share—we were all on our way to another location to stay for the rest of our time in China. We had to leave our current site—immediately!  Fleeing fast, our entire team was frantically packing back up everything we had brought with us. Suitcases, clothing, Bibles, and all of our possessions were being hastily packed and nothing could be left behind. It was 10:00 p.m. and I was still deathly ill. My companions had to quickly pack my belongings and load me onto a small jon boat, covering me with a thin blanket. Now all eighty of us are on small boats, traveling in the pitch black with nothing but cell phone lights to guide our way to the next location. We are being chased and do not know how far ahead we are from our pursuers.

And I am still dying—I can feel it.

A Whispered Prayer

As I lay in agony on the boat, a soft hand unexpectedly touched my foot. In a gentle voice, an elderly woman on our team who was positioned next to me in the cramped boat whispered over my body, “Lord, heal Andy, in Jesus’ name.”

The healing power of Jesus hit my foot, went through my body, and out of the top of my head—like lightning moves through a steel rod and diffuses into the ground. Laying there on that small jon boat, I felt healing power like a swift kick from a mule—but in a good way. The woman who touched me had no idea what just happened. A gentle soft voice came from her mouth and through her heart and He was there—Jesus—immediately responding with healing power.

I was instantaneously better, feeling healthier that exact moment. Before long, we were all at our new location and I was safe and tucked away in a clean bed and private room. Within twenty-four hours I was up and going, back to normal. There was no trace of my illness; I was fully restored through the power of Jesus’ name! On this night back in 2008, I personally experienced the crossover to divine healing.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms 27:1 NIV)

Taking Faith Into Our Culture

In a day and age when we are taught that everything can reach new heights, why do we sometimes box our faith in with limited boundaries? We don’t assume that we can raise someone from the dead, and then one day it happens without any prior notice. If we aren’t careful, we can become so pragmatic by living in the normal that we accidently restrain God—cutting out the supernatural aspect of the natural realm we are called to live in.

We are crossing over to divine healing. We have walked in fear and doubt long enough. The Lord is bringing His people out of doubt, fear, and illness and into boldness, faith, and healing. We are entering into a new measure of trust. It is learning how to walk into supernatural faith without boundaries. It is time to long for faith at its fullest. The body of Christ is past due for serious faith-raising miracles. It is time to raise the faith banner in our culture—putting the supernatural back into our natural.

Our Sunday services should be like a power-zap, not boring meetings that bring us power-naps while sitting in the pews. Healing services will become commonplace throughout the US (and other countries). It will not be based on a few evangelists here and there, but several everywhere—many people working within the churches all over the land to see the divine presence of Jesus heal all kinds of sicknesses. The church will become more popular for healing than some of our hospitals. I see many people, like the woman in China who gently touched me on the foot and whispered a simple prayer, reaching their hands out and healing others supernaturally. This lady didn’t even know anything had happened; she didn’t feel a thing. You don’t have to feel healing power moving through you for healing to work. You just have to believe in the one who heals—Jesus! I see many people taking steps of healing faith this year and it becoming a lifestyle. Step out and reach up! Take your place in the kingdom, because it is time to believe.

But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves (Malachi 4:2 NIV).

Healing Power Flows

I have such a strong urgency that healing power is flowing through this word from the Lord. Healing doesn’t work on our time, it demands our time. It’s like the person who struggles with their weight stating that they will start their diet tomorrow while eating chocolate mouse and fudge cake for breakfast. The weight struggle will be there until the crossover into determination happens. We cannot put the presence of the Lord’s healing on hold. So those of you who are in need of healing, believe with me for healing power to touch your life right where you are, right now:

“Father, in the name of Jesus we command healing power to rest upon anyone right now who needs a divine touch from You. From the smallest sickness to the largest ailment, we cast it away to be gone for good! It is by Your blood we have covenant healing promises. So I ask You, Father, to heal those in need of a divine touch from You.”

When you get healed, shoot me an email. I would love to hear about it!

Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security (Jeremiah 33:6 NIV).

A word by Dana Jarvis

I decree you are making the spiritual journey from the bondage of Egypt into your promised land of destiny. I know you have grown weary. Do not let the murmurings and complaining attitudes rule you. It causes the faith to waiver! Your focus is upon the cup of bitter waters that you are currently drinking from.

Rest assured that your God is making these bitter waters sweet!

You shall taste and see that the Lord is good! You are going to see such extravagance in your daily life. He is delivering much into your hands so reach up and take hold. Just as he was with you before, he is with you now. You are going to drink deep of the Living Waters. The bitter waters of life have tried to steal all joy.

However I hear the Lord say, “It is done, I am the Lord who heals you. I am the Lord who will restore you. I am the Lord who will provide your every need. I am the One that is making the bitter waters sweet!”

I feel so strongly that God is removing your cup of bitter waters you have had to drink for so long. He is causing a turnaround for you in a situation that you desperately need him to move. I am speaking to several and know this word is for you. Even as the Lord led Moses and the children of Israel from their bondage at the Red Sea, it still took one step of faith. One step of faith is all it takes to cause a release from all of this. Take a moment and sow into good ground by giving into Spirit Fuel. For just a contribution of $25, $50, or even $100 or more given into Spirit Fuel is an active step and good ground on which to sow. It is a powerful ministry reaching the world for Christ. As you sow that offering, it is that act of faith that will cause the Red Sea where you are standing to part in your life. The bitter cup will be removed and the sweetness of the Lord shall begin to flow!
