Jesus told us that the things that He did that we can and will do John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. Our lives are to reflect Jesus in the way that we can say to live is Christ and to die is gain Philippians 1:21 “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain”. These truths are what God has provided to us through Christ and His shed His Blood, Death, Burial, and Resurrection.
HOW DOES THIS BECOME A REALITY IN OUR LIVES
In this last season and God-ordained move on this earth before Jesus returns He requires 2 components for His Last Day Remnant that will usher in His Son Jesus to Rapture us into Heaven. First HOLINESS or Holy Living 1Peter 1:16 “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy”. and then EMPOWERMENT Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”.

Holiness must be the foundation of our life or otherwise what we do will bring reproach to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all that we do. It begins internally and then reflects outwardly through us showing Jesus in our life and countenance. God commands us to be Holy as He is Holy 1 Peter 1:16 “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy”. We walk in Holiness by walking in the Fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22.23 which is Jesus CHARACTER. One of the Fruit of the Spirit is TEMPERANCE (self-control). Temperance is the ability to say no to your self-centered will and yes to God or anything that is the right thing to do. We want to be God controlled but we can’t be God controlled unless we first have self-control otherwise we wouldn’t obey God but do what we want or feel like doing. Jesus gave us the perfect example at Gethsemane when He faced going to the Cross and He didn’t want to, who would, but He asked the Father “If He would take this cup from Him, Never the less, not my will but your will be done. The blood that Jesus shed by the agony He went through bursting His blood vessels that ran down His forehead paid for us to be Empowered by the Holy Spirit to be able to say no always to our selfish wills and yes to God or anything that we face that we are enabled to make the right decision. When we choose to say not my will but yours Heavenly Father and mean it, God empowers us to do just that. In every one of the 9 Fruit of the Spirit when we give our will to the Father in the name of Jesus for His help and choose to walk in it, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit and will be able to accomplish it. It is a supernatural ability from God to us through Jesus Christ.
EMPOWERMENT
It is the God-given ability to do all things in the ability of Jesus Christ that He has given us to do in His Plan for our lives. It begins with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. This experience or second work of Grace opens the door to the Gifts of the Holy Spirit I Corinthians 12:7 thru 11. Walking in the Gifts of the Spirit is the ABILITY of Jesus Christ. The Gifts work through us according to God’s Will for us and at the time of need. The Gifts are for service and helping others to meet whatever is needed.
In closing when we choose to walk in the Fruit of the Spirit and are open for God and desire God asking Him to use His gifts through us, then we will reflect the real Jesus and His Love & Power to all mankind.
