From A Place Of Love – A Word by Jen Anderson

Ok, so the prophetic has to start from a place of love, not woundedness.

Our gift will allow us to see things, however, our wounds will interpret wrongly.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things. Wounds blame all things, absorb all things, protects from all things.

Prophesying out of love will bring healing and restoration. Prophesying from a wound will bring a critical spirit and lay a burden on someone.

If our gift allows us to see something, then love should immediately kick in to bear it. Our immediate responsibility is intercession. PERHAPS God will release a word. PERHAPS God will send us as a momma or papa to bring correction. But ONLY from a place of deep love, never from a place of disgust, disappointment, or discouragement.

The image I get is allowing your toddler to learn to walk. We don’t shove them down if they don’t get it right. We don’t think we are better than them. We are excited for them to gain this skill so they can go further. We HOPE for them… to go further than we ever did.

We call into the future and bring it into now. Even in correction, there should be a sense that we are helping them align better with who they really are!

Prophets are not hope killers. They are way makers.
