While I was in prayer, I heard the Spirit of the Lord speak to me and say, “Get ready for REWARD! You will receive the spoils of the enemy.” Immediately, I began to research what that word actually meant. Dictionary.com defines “reward” as “a sum of money offered for the detection or capture of a criminal, the recovery of lost or stolen property, etc. Something given or received in return or recompense for service, merit, hardship, etc.”

As I read the definition, the words “recovery” and “recompense” leapt off the pages to me. Again, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “This is a season where things that have been lost or stolen will now be recovered. There is recompense or reward coming to you. This is a set time for reward.”

The Lord would have me to declare over you today, “Delay is broken over your life. The promises of God that have been overdue are now suddenly being released. This is a set time for many. God’s “reward” is being given to the seekers.”

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Heb. 11:6)

We are given a better understanding of God’s reward through the life of the warrior, Caleb. He was sent to spy out the land that God had promised to the Israelites, with Joshua and 10 others. After 40 days, they returned to report to Moses their findings. Ten of the spies magnified the opposition they would face, causing the people to be crippled with fear. Joshua and Caleb tried to silence the other spies with confirming what God had promised them. However, the people refused to believe and spoke of stoning them (Moses and Aaron).

As a result of their unbelief, God declared that none of that generation would be allowed to enter the Promised Land, except for Joshua and Caleb.

“But My servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed Me fully, him will I bring into the land into which he went; and his seed shall possess it” (Num. 14:24).

It was 40 years later that the children of Israel took the territory of Canaan, and God, after all those years, did not forget the promise He made to Caleb. And neither has God forgotten the promises He has made to you, even if they have tarried! No doubt, the enemy of your soul has tried to convince you that you will never see what God has spoken. Maybe he has tried to convince you that “it has been too long or you are too old now.” The devil is a liar! You are right on time to see the fulfillment of God’s Word to you. Get ready because God is going to REWARD you just as He did Caleb.

It was when Joshua was dividing the conquered land, giving portions to the different tribes that Caleb stepped up and said to Joshua, “You know the word which the Lord said to Moses the man of God concerning you and me in Kadesh-Barnea” (Jos. 14:6, NKJV). Moreover, Caleb made a declaration of God’s promise to him and His faith in that promise.

“As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said” (Jos. 14:11-12, NKJV).

I heard the Spirit of the Lord say right now, “Many of you have been weary. The enemy has tried his best to convince you to give up, but I would say to you that instead of giving up, begin to do battle with your prophecies. Stand on every promise and refuse to quit. You will indeed see My REWARD.”

After 45 years, Caleb was as strong as he had been the first time he entered the land. He had waited, and now he was ready for his inheritance. I love that he boldly demanded, “Give me this mountain.” In other words Caleb was saying, God promised it to me, and I have waited, and now it is my time to possess my inheritance.

God is telling you today, “This is your time to possess your inheritance. Your circumstances are coming together, even now as you read this. I have prepared the promise for you. You were delayed but your ‘set time’ has come. I declare there is no more delay over your life.”

Caleb expelled three giants from his mountain (Jdg. 1:20). God had renewed his strength and his fight. He inhabited Hebron just like God had said 45 years earlier. You too, will possess your Hebron. What is your Hebron? Is it your marriage? Your family? Your ministry? Whatever it is, it is not too late. God is giving you the REWARD.
