God is Bringing Peace and Contentment to the Weary – A Word by Peggy Jones

As I was seeking the Lord in prayer, I saw many people standing at a starting line. They were ready to move into the next season with God. On the starting line the words PEACE and CONTENTMENT were written. I questioned God about this and believe that this is something God is bringing to those who are open to him. God wants us to live in a beautiful peaceful place in the Spirit at this time. It is as if God wants us to stand still for a moment and enjoy where we are before He moves us forward into the new level He has for us. It is important that we take this pause because it really is a stepping stone towards our advancement and the advancement of the Kingdom.

So what does this pause look like? For starters it is not the absence of the difficulties we may be dealing with at the moment. It is a new way of looking at our lives. The Lord is giving us the ability to change our focus from seeing not just the challenges we face but also to see the glorious blessings that we often take for granted. God is quickening our hearts with thanksgiving and praise to cry out like David did in Psalm 103 Thank you Lord because you forgive all my sins and heal all my diseases. You redeemed my life from the pit and crown me with love and compassion. You satisfy my desires with good things and my youth is renewed like the eagle’s! God has always been and forever will be good to us, his beloved children.

God is also taking us to a new place of deep contentment that has been elusive to many who have been battle weary from this last season. The contentment will come as God gives us the ability to be present in the moment and enjoy even the tiny pleasures in this life. We will see God’s handiwork all around us that we have been blinded to by the pressures we have been under.

God is longing to take us deeper in experiencing His love for us also. As we bask in His beautiful presence we will be restored, healed and rejuvenated. Our youth will be renewed and we will be strengthened. It is time to take a peaceful pause with Father God!

As we approach a new season with God we will learn how to flow with His Spirit and this will replace any striving or struggle to achieve. In this peaceful place that God wants to take us there are new songs to be sung, new words to be penned, new inventions to come forth. Even medical breakthroughs will be produced. New alignments will be made and connections formed. Creativity will be heightened as we partner with the Creator of the Universe.

So respond to God’s invitation to take a peace pause. Just soak in His glorious presence and breathe Him in. As you yield to God and receive His peace it will take you to a new level. God wants us to understand how to live and move out of a place of peace and contentment. We are not build to strive on our own but to flow with God. In the God flow real joy is birthed. God is ushering in a new way of cooperating with Him that will involve more surrender than effort on our part. God wants to bring about His purposes in us while we calmly, peacefully and contently rest in him. This will bring a fresh enjoyment in serving Him and will move us into a new level of ministry. Amen
