In the natural we truly honor those that have served and have been wounded in action or have never made it home. There is a special place within my heart for those that have served in our military and have laid down their lives to serve and protect others.

God showed me the other night in an open vision that He truly desires honors to show that same honor to those that have done the same thing in ministry. He said there were those that have been betrayed, abused, verbally assaulted, rejected, and even been defamed in the line of ministry all for the sake of laying down their lives to protect others. He showed me that there are many that are still not honored for their sacrifice.

He saw the purity of their hearts as they went after and protected others in the church from abuse and to protect them from experiencing hurt. But the result of it was that they ended up hurt themselves. They caught the shrapnel of the abuse, but they kept fighting the good fight. They continued while wounded to put others above themselves and see others succeed in what God has called them to walk out. He showed me these individuals just covered up the wounds in order to keep serving, but they never truly healed from these past hurts.

Because of this they still have not let go of the pain of the past. Or they are walking around looking at everything from a filter of hurt and not recognizing they are doing it. They have been traumatized from past events that they went through to protect others and have allowed it to creep into their personal lives, ministries, and relationships. God showed me that they are so guarded that they do not truly trust anyone. They are afraid if they allow others in ministry back into their hearts, they will experience the same hurt over and over. So, they stay guarded, telling people they desire friendships, but in their mind, they keep everyone at an arms distance away.

God is saying He truly honors you for the sacrifices you have made, because you did not count your life as your own, you truly loved people more than yourselves. Jesus did the same thing!

John 15:13 NKJV

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

Paul also did the same!

Acts 20:24 ESV

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

The Lord is saying I am your Oil of Joy for your mourning. For you have so much value to Me says the Lord. I still desire you to build My Kingdom. You have a precious value to me that no man can snuff out or keep hidden. I am mending your broken heart so that you can Love to the fullness of who I created you to be. Your Restoration will bring about the restoration of many others around you. You will be a light house and a beacon to others that have experience the same thing. You will speak forth from this place of restoration and it will be like honey to those that need nourishment.

Isaiah 61:2b-4 NKJV

To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations.

Psalms 147:3 NKJV

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Isaiah 40:29 AMP

He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].

The Lord is saying it’s time to lay down those burdens because it’s time for you to run your again!

Matthew 11:28 TPT

“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis.

1 Peter 5:7 TPT

Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for He always tenderly cares for you.

Psalm 55:22 TPT

So here’s what I’ve learned through it all:

Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord,

and measureless grace will strengthen you.

Now it’s time to Roar, time to dance and sing unto the Lord. Now it is time to step into this new year refreshed and re-energized because those wounds are healed, and the Lord is showing you double honor. Hahaha Come On Lord………. I just heard Him say as I wrote this, He will give you double for your trouble! He honors you so much, you are valuable to Him!
