God Isn’t Finished! – A Word by Aretha Cross

Abba wants us to know that no matter where you find yourself at this exact point in time of your life, He’s not finished with you. There are many exciting chapters left in your story, and the pages are eagerly awaiting to be turned. Your story was carefully written before you were placed in your mother’s womb. It’s beautifully woven in love, joy, pain, trials, perseverance, faith, and ultimate victory (1 Corinthians 15:57). Many live their lives and take their last breath without ever completing the chapters of their story.
In this new era, it’s imperative for God’s children to fix their eyes upon Jesus (Hebrews 12:2), and look for Him in the midst of the mountains and valleys. Keep your gaze upon Jesus, and you’ll see Him standing right there, smiling at you, and beckoning you to take His hand as He awaits to walk you through the chapters of your life story. So, respond to His beckoning, and take His hand, allowing Him to navigate you to the settings of each chapter. When you turn and fixate your gaze upon Jesus, you will find peace, rest, restoration, joy, revelation, vision, healing, empowerment, and steadfastness. Suddenly, as you take His loving hand and maintain eye contact with Him, you will witness the goliaths in your life begin to shrink. You will see these obstacles for what they are — a small bump in road along the way to your promised land. You will gain 20/20 spiritual vision, and begin to experience the fog to miraculously clear. You will start to live out “yoke easy and burden light” (Matthew 11:28-30). This is because the Lord Himself will settle the unstable ground beneath you, and set your feet upon the sure foundation. Jesus Himself will begin to turn the pages of His beautiful story of your triumphant life for the chapters to unfold. It’s a colorful tapestry of adventures, and, yes, they have your name written on them. Will you take His hand?
When Peter got out of the boat, and walked towards Jesus, he began to sink as soon as he took his eyes off the Savior (Matthew 14:27-32). You see, when you keep your gaze upon the Jesus, you will be rescued from the storm of discouragement, anxiety, uncertainty, hopelessness, disillusion, worry, and fear. As you lock eyes with Jesus, you will find truth, and the truth shall surely set you free (John 8:32)! You will rejoice in Jesus, and find strength as you realize He’s more than enough (Nehemiah 8:10). You will come to understand that Jesus is your ultimate Prize, and most precious Gift ever received. You’ll discern that if you have Him, you have it all! You have Him, and everything and everyone else pales in comparison. Take the Father’s hand, make eye contact with Him, and fixate your gaze upon Him. He’ll help you live out the chapters of your triumphant story. You have been chosen, kept, anointed, and appointed to be here on earth, for such a time as this!
