When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. -Acts 2:1-4
If the church needs something right now more than ever it is a fresh mighty baptism in the Spirit’s power. A church that is not submerged and drenched in the power of God is powerless. We need to understand that out of our belly flows rivers of living water (John 7:37-38).
This empowerment from on high has nothing to do with denomination. It has nothing to do with anyone but Jesus. Jesus is the one who baptized in the Holy Ghost and with fire (Luke 3:16). A pastor doesn’t give it to you. An evangelist doesn’t give it to you. It is Jesus, the mighty Baptizer who will come and submerge you into His hot fiery love. When you are full of the Spirit just like on the day of Pentecost you get your heavenly prayer language known as speaking in tongues.
When I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I was 12 years old. I went to a retreat with the Royal Rangers and in Pensacola, Florida around the time the Brownsville Revival the power of God hit the place. People were getting slain in the Holy Spirit all over. I was scared to be honest. Then I just began to pray and I lost my English. I opened my mouth and a force bubbled up from within me and I started speaking a language I never knew. I don’t know if it was the tongues of angels or the tongues of another people but I remember I felt full of God’s Spirit and as I laid on the floor I was baptized in the Holy Spirit.
When you pray in tongues you are uttering mysteries to God (1 Corinthians 14:2). I didn’t have to wait long before I felt God’s power flood my body. My calling became clear. I knew I was called into the ministry. My heart would never be the same. My heart was circumcised by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit made me sensitive to His ways and His presence.
Many people think that this heavenly baptism of the Holy Spirit is a one time event. It is most definitely not! Every single day you should seek the Holy Spirit and be filled until you are overflowing. How do you expect to live in this dark world without power from God? It is like trying to drive a car that has no battery. Your prayer language is important. Don’t ever be ashamed to pray in tongues. Be filled with the Holy Ghost!
With every new assignment from God you need a fresh baptism in the Holy Spirit.

When I was 17 there was a traveling minister from Alabama who laid hands on me and I felt fire on my stomach. It was the anointing of God. I was so full of God’s power and love. I wanted to change the world and so I began winning people to Christ. The reason the Holy Spirit is poured out is to empower the church to preach the Gospel with boldness (Acts 4:31).
The promise of the Holy Spirit is available to all who would ask Jesus. If a Father will not give a stone to a child asking for bread. Neither will the Father hold back but He will give the Holy Spirit to all who would receive Him. I have seen the chains of witchcraft broken when people pray in tongues. I have seen depression leave when people pray in tongues. We must be energized and filled with the Holy Spirit.
We must open out mouths and pray out loud in the Holy Spirit. Right before I started full time ministry as a pastor, I remember I prayed in tongues for around 1 hour straight. I prayed strong tongues. It sounded like gibberish to some, but God did something supernatural. I gave birth to a ministry in the Spirit. The phone rang and I had an interview at a church to fill a position.
Church, we need a mighty Holy Ghost anointing! We need a cloud of God’s glory to come upon His church. We need revival. We need more of Him and less of us.
Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. Are you hungry? Are you desperate? You need God to fill your cup. Lift up your cup to the Lord and ask Him to fill it tonight! Magnify His name and praise the Lord! When you praise the Lord His glory and presence descends.
When the fire of God baptizes you it is a baptism for purity, holiness, and consecration. God will speak out of the fire. Many reading this like Moses will have a burning bush experience and a commissioning fire right now as you pray this prayer. You will feel the anointing and receive a fresh baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire:
Jesus, I pray that you would baptize those who read this with a fresh baptism in the Holy Spirit and with fire. I pray that just like on the day of Pentecost, that they would open their mouth and begin to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. Fill all the hungry and thirsty I pray. Release new assignments, callings, mantles, anointings and in-fillings in Jesus name. Break the chains of depression & bondage right now! FRESH FIRE!
A TURNAROUND FOR YOU..
A word by Dana Jarvis
I decree you are making the spiritual journey from the bondage of Egypt into your promised land of destiny. I know you have grown weary. Do not let the murmurings and complaining attitudes rule you. It causes the faith to waiver! Your focus is upon the cup of bitter waters that you are currently drinking from.
Rest assured that your God is making these bitter waters sweet!
You shall taste and see that the Lord is good! You are going to see such extravagance in your daily life. He is delivering much into your hands so reach up and take hold. Just as he was with you before, he is with you now. You are going to drink deep of the Living Waters. The bitter waters of life have tried to steal all joy.
However I hear the Lord say, “It is done, I am the Lord who heals you. I am the Lord who will restore you. I am the Lord who will provide your every need. I am the One that is making the bitter waters sweet!”
I feel so strongly that God is removing your cup of bitter waters you have had to drink for so long. He is causing a turnaround for you in a situation that you desperately need him to move. I am speaking to several and know this word is for you. Even as the Lord led Moses and the children of Israel from their bondage at the Red Sea, it still took one step of faith. One step of faith is all it takes to cause a release from all of this. Take a moment and sow into good ground by giving into Spirit Fuel. For just a contribution of $25, $50, or even $100 or more given into Spirit Fuel is an active step and good ground on which to sow. It is a powerful ministry reaching the world for Christ. As you sow that offering, it is that act of faith that will cause the Red Sea where you are standing to part in your life. The bitter cup will be removed and the sweetness of the Lord shall begin to flow!
