For the last few months, I have been sensing the Lord speaking some unusual things to me about 5780/2020. In the Hebraic calendar, 5780 is the current year and this is a decade of 80. 80 is the numeric value of the letter Pey in the Hebrew alphabet and is represented by a mouth (speaking). In this decade of Pey, speaking is significant. Many have noted that we will be speaking what we have seen over the decade of Ayin (seeing). In a recent time of forced quietness, Holy Spirit revealed what the Lord wanted to say to me about this year/decade. I had been hearing, “Hindsight is 2020.” This was confusing to me, as it typically means we can see clearly now what we should have seen before; or, if we had known then what we know now, we’d have chosen differently.
But I hear the Lord saying, “Hindsight is 2020, for what was from before is being brought forth now. In this decade of Pey you will have what you say; speak from My heavenly realms and I will bring forth the new day. My Wisdom will enlighten every dark place, My Spirit availing enabling grace that transcends all time and space.”
Holy Spirit brought to mind the account of Moses, in Exodus 33:18-23, where he asked to see God’s glory. God told Moses no one could see His glory and live, but that Moses would see his back (hind) side. Also, in Exodus 3:1, we read that Moses fled to the “back” side of the desert and this is where he saw the burning bush and received an encounter with God and divine instruction. In both instances Strong’s Concordance notes that the Hebrew word for back means hinder part, but it also means before, hereafter, and time to come…eternal realms! It is likely Moses wrote the first four books of the Bible during his 40 years in the wilderness. Many scholars also believe he wrote the book of Job during that time also. In “hind sight” Moses was taken into eternal realms and given wisdom and revelation about creation and the history of man prior to his own existence! Paul also speaks about realms of eternal mysteries given him in Ephesians 3:1-11.
As I sought the Lord further, Holy Spirit suggested I research the words in Strong’s Concordance correlating to 5780 and 2020.
5780 in Strong’s Concordance is the word “Uz.” It can mean wooded; is a person’s name; and is also a place. It is the land where Job resided:
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.” (Job 1:1 KJV)
Holy Spirit immediately spoke to me that although Genesis is the first book positioned in our Bible, Job is the oldest book written and the first of the wisdom books, and that 5780 IS A YEAR, AND BEGINNING OF A DECADE, OF DIVINE WISDOM AND THE FEAR OF THE LORD!
“The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning (the chief and choice part) of Wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight and understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10, AMPC)
The fear of the Lord is not being afraid of Him in perceiving Him as an evil despot. The fear of the Lord is reverential awe and wonder. There is even now beginning a global hunger for true wisdom and the Word of God as not seen in many years; fear of the Lord will rightly position us to receive, and as we receive the reverential awe grows greater. I see the circular ascension of a glory tornado rising, pulling multitudes in for immersion, then dispersing them like lightning bolts throughout the earth.
2020 in Strong’s Concordance is a Greek phrase meaning “to begin to grow light.” It notes that it is an imperfect form of 2017. This is very interesting, as Pey is the 17th letter of the Hebrew alphabet! The word for 2017 in Strong’s Concordance means to illuminate, or give light. It is only used in Eph. 5:14, and the equivalent word is used three times in Job!
“Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” (Ephesians 5:14 KJV)
Thayer’s Greek Lexicon states “…the meaning is, Christ will pour upon thee the light of divine truth as the sun gives light to men aroused from sleep.”
My spirit jumped as I read this, as it ties in perfectly with what I was hearing by Holy Spirit. Eyes are being opened right now to the Eternal Godhead and the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
There are many who have been under a spirit of slumber, lulled into sleep by the spirit of the world or numbed by the onslaught of evil reports. I hear a rumbling that is causing a quaking and a shaking upon you right now, for the Spirit of the Living God is stirring within you. The living Word is rising up as fire in your bones. There is a fresh wind from heaven upon you that is fanning those embers into flame!
There are many others who believe their time is finished; weary of the battle, you have handed off the baton emotionally to the next generation, but right now you are feeling a fresh fire deep within, for the Lord is calling you forth with a new assignment. Moses spent 40 years in the wilderness and at 80 began his ministry as leader of God’s people out of Egypt.
DON’T TRY TO HURRY OUT OF YOUR WILDERNESS; GOD USES IT TO DEVELOP GODLY CHARACTER THAT CAN BIRTH PROPERLY THE GREAT REVELATION HE WILL GIVE YOU! God is raising up warriors filled with the wisdom of God to declare the word of the Lord in Holy boldness, tempered only by a spirit of humility and meekness that comes from the dealings of God during times in wilderness.
In this year and decade of 80, I declare hindsight is 2020 – God is opening up the heavenly realms to have His eternal vision and wisdom for the battles at hand. I hear, “You do not need to be filled with dread; look to Me, I will show you the greater glory ahead. I am Wisdom and know what will be. All you need is found in Me; I will give you eyes to see, and strategies for victory.”
I declare to you that we are entering a momentous Kingdom decade with 2020 hindsight – where illumination from the Eternal One will intersect time. Great depths of truth from the divine storehouses of wisdom in the Word of God will be revealed by His Spirit, and decreed into the earth, ushering in transformation and shifting the nations into alignment with the eternal purposes of the Most High God.
“Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
