I Will Rescue and Save Your Sons and Daughters— Pursue and Plunder! – A Word by Kathi Pelton

There is a deep longing in the heart of God to gather your sons and daughters under the safety of his protection and care— to gather them together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wing. His longing and passion is building, especially as the enemy seeks to expose them and deceive them.

I saw a vision of a thief breaking into a family home, yet he did not come to steal material goods but he came to steal, kill and destroy the sons and daughters. In this vision, the father was awakened by this intruder and as he was immediately filled with the protective force that only a father knows. He would stop at nothing to destroy this intruder and to protect his sons and daughters.

This vision is the way that our Heavenly Father feels about our sons and daughters who are being targeted by the thief and enemy of their souls. His longing for them is accompanied by a fierce protective force that cannot be contained or held back.

I see a heavenly 911 call that is being responded to by the heavenly hosts— and led by the Lord of Hosts. It is a “rescue and save” operation for our sons and daughters. There is a holy anger that cannot be contained or hindered any longer— it is a righteous rescue mission to save and restore.

We are partnered with this mission through the prayers of mothers and the decrees of fathers. There is authority upon these prayers and decrees that are pursuing the thief until all is restored and reclaimed.

Yesterday, I was with an intercession team in Virginia and as we prayed for our sons and daughters one woman said, “I hear that we are in a Ziklag moment.” Yes, we are!

In 1 Samuel 30 David and his men return to where their wives and children were living to find that they all had been stolen. Their grief was so deep that some lost all strength. But David prayed to the Lord (asking if he should pursue them) and the Lord said, “Pursue them,” “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.”

So David and 400 of the men pursued the thieves and rescued them all!

“David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives.

Nothing was missing: young or old, boy or girl, plunder or anything else they had taken. David brought everything back.

He took all the flocks and herds, and his men drove them ahead of the other livestock, saying, “This is David’s plunder.” 1 Samuel 18-20

All was recovered and the enemy was plundered of all he had. We are in the midst of a heavenly Ziklag mission— “Pursue and plunder!”

God is calling fathers to break through the discouragement and distress that has weighed them down. I hear him calling to the men to pursue and plunder— “Ride with him to rescue and save your children!” You will overtake the thief.

The mothers have been on their knees but God is calling to the fathers to shake off the distress that has weakened you and to hear his promise that you will overtake the enemy and rescue your children.

This is a Ziklag moment and the order to pursue and plunder has been given. Arise fathers! Arise warriors! Arise husbands— the Lord of Hosts is leading a rescue operation to restore your families to you.

Now is the time to respond. God is with you and he is saying, “PURSUE!”
