Inheritance Released – A Word by Joe Joe Dawson

I recently received a prophetic word from the Lord during a time of prayer. The Lord spoke to me and said, “Inheritance released.” I continued to pray and the Lord began to download revelation about this prophetic phrase to me. Many times, we have God-given dreams and prophetic promises about what the Lord wants to do in and through our lives but we expect for those dreams and promises to just suddenly come to pass one day. However, in reality, every promise from God has a process attached to its fulfillment.

We cannot sit on a prophetic word nd expect for it to just show up in our lives as a fully manifested reality. This is not how the Lord brings about those promises. Instead, God wants to take us through a process to the promise because it is through the process that He prepares us for the promise. Through the process God gives us wisdom, knowledge and understanding. It is in the process to the promise that we become humbled, God perfects our character and is able to release our inheritance to us because we have become wise stewards. Over my years in ministry, I’ve talked to people who have these amazing prophetic words from God but they think that just because God has spoken these things to them that they are ready to step into them. This is almost always not the case. If we haven’t gone through the process then we will mishandle the inheritance God has for us.

I believe there are many in this season that have been through the process with the Lord and your promises are on the horizon. You’ve been through the testing, the trials, the peaks and valleys with the Lord and He has refined, purified and grown you through what you have gone through. If that is you, my friend, an inheritance from the Lord is about to be released to you. Those who have walked closely with the Lord and have been serving, giving, fasting, praying and studying the Word of God are about to be elevated and entrusted with this inheritance from the Lord. In high school or college, you do not receive a diploma until you meet the requirements. Many of you are about to graduate in the spirit because you have been a student of the Lord. Your faithfulness and perseverance in previous seasons are about to shift you into a new season with the Lord. It is your season!

Jesus led His disciples through a process before He empowered them to go forth. Jesus first called His disciples to Himself, they watched and walked with Him in everything that He did and then He sent them out with His authority, with their inheritance. They received their inheritance once they had been through the process. It is about to be your season to go forth. The inheritance the Lord is about to release to you will look different for each person. Finances and resources, strategy and clarity to move forward, greater anointing to function in your gifting, the right people to run with, and the wisdom and revelation to know exactly what to do and what not to do in this season are all about to come your way.

Whatever you’re lacking in this season, God is going to provide in the next season. Make sure you are in the place that you are able to steward the inheritance from the Lord and prepare for it to be released to you. Remember that whenever the Kingdom of God is manifested in your life it is not only for you but to bless others with what God has given you. The Lord will only entrust His blessing and favor to those who will not squander it. Become wise stewards, say yes to the process and know that you are about to see your inheritance released! Get ready!
