It’s Breaking Open As You Cross Over The Threshold of April – A Word by Madeline James

We are in a great prophetic time and season; much is taking place. In prayer recently, the Lord began to show me the significance of the month of April, the fourth month. The Lord showed me as we stepped into 2022 in January, we came into a time of transition and deliverance. In this season we celebrate two significant Jewish feasts, Purim and Passover. The festivals celebrate how God moved on behalf of His people as they walked through a season of deliverance. The past three months have been a time of walking through a valley or for many a dark night of the soul. There are many great promises to be fulfilled this year and beyond. Passover is also during Nissan, which celebrates the Jewish new year. Every new season requires a level of deliverance so we can inhabit the new. God uses these times of transition, the time between the old season and the new season, to strip away the old and make room from the new. Get ready you’re stepping into the new in April.
The Lord showed me many feel like they have been walking through a dark tunnel, it’s been hard to see what’s ahead. It’s in the darkness or hidden place, that we can truly grow and develop. The light reveals what has been taking place in the dark. Just like a photo is developed in a dark room, I want to encourage you that God has been developing you in the dark room of heaven. In the dark room, if the light is turned on prematurely, or if the photo is exposed to light before it’s developed it will distort the image. God uses these times to develop a greater image of Him that can be manifested through our lives. In April and beyond, you’re getting ready to see what has been developing in the dark. The light is breaking forth in April!
As we stepped into the new at the beginning of the year, we were mantled with new promises and new garments. Every season requires a garment change. God uses these seasons of transition as times of transformation because we have to grow into what we’ve been mantled with. David describes this journey in Psalm 84-5-7 NLT, “What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. 6 When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings. 7 They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem.” In this passage, you see what the Valley of Weeping was ending up becoming a place of refreshing. What you’ve been walking through, a hard place, is going to become a place of blessing. You may not feel like it, but you’re growing stronger with each step.
The Threshhold
I declare and decree what was hard these past three months is going to turn around and bless you as you step over the threshold of April. The threshold is always a place of contention. If the enemy can’t stop you from getting to the door of a new season or opportunity, he tries to stop us from walking through it. A threshold is what you step across when you enter a new room or space. It takes you from one place or season into the next. Paul says this in 1 Corinthians 16:9 TPT, “There’s an amazing door of opportunity standing wide open for me to minister here, even though there are many who oppose and stand against me.” Now as you step through April, where things have been tight and you’ve felt a lot of pressure, it’s going to open up. The Lord is enlarging your capacity. Interesting enough, April means to open. It comes from the Latin word Aprilis derived from aperire (dictionary.com). This Latin word means the opening or blossoming of flowers and tree. How prophetic. This also reminds me of Song of Songs 2:13 TPT, “Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere.”
I declare and decree as you enter April, things are opening up, bursting forth, and blossoming with the purposes of God. It will spring forth in your life. Another meaning of April according to its Latin roots is a reference to Easter. This is such a divine and prophetic time of year where we celebrate the resurrection of Christ. The resurrection of Christ is what he desires to do and manifest in our lives. What is the stone that needs rolled away in your life? It’s time to come out of the dark place.
Get Ready for Increased Angelic Activity
Get ready for increased angelic activity, dreams, and encounters in this season. What you need God is sending through the angelic. With April being the fourth month, the number four prophetically represents the angelic. I had an encounter concerning this a couple years ago, but we can also see throughout scripture the angelic is referenced as the four winds. Zechariah 6:5 ASV says, “And the angel answered and said unto me, these are the four winds of heaven, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.” In the natural we’re going to see record news stories about the wind. This will be very active tornado season. We must pray for the safety of people, but the Lord is releasing the winds (angelic) to release the winds of change and transformation. Watch where these winds show up it will be a sign of change to come. The winds will even show up in some unusual places where tornados are not as common. Change is on the horizon.
In this great prophetic season God is releasing His angels of breakthrough and deliverance. Watch the turnaround and how situations will turnaround overnight. As we partner with the angelic things will become easier and the pace will pick up. God is removing the obstacles that have been standing in your way and surrounding you. We see this depicted in Matthew 28:2-4 it says, “2 Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. 3 His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow.4 The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint.” What you feel like is shaking in your life is really the Lord releasing deliverance. The angel of the Lord is coming to remove the “stone” that’s been holding you hostage. God is scattering your enemies that have been surrounding you. As the angel sat upon the rock that was rolled away, you will sit upon things that once held you captive. You’re coming out of the cave different like Jesus. Where the enemy meant to bury you, its going to cause you to rise up in a new way. There’s a greater glory being released. The glory is always great after the storm.
