Vision Sunday 1st October 2023

Across the body of Christ, there’s a call to drink the new wine.

In yesterday’s worship, I had a vision where I witnessed Jesus inside a wine storage area where wine ages. He carefully took down a barrel, and there was a profound sense that this wine was aged and matured. He kept the best for last. “The new wine”.

Jesus proceeded to take down more barrels, rolling them towards specific individuals. These barrels had names on them like “provision” and “healing.”

Opening one of the barrels, Jesus held a wine glass and filled it, encouraging everyone to partake in the new wine. As people drank, they received what they needed.

I felt a powerful presence of God’s new wine, experiencing joy and carefreeness throughout the entire meeting. This vision extended over two worship songs.

After drinking, Jesus joyously danced down the middle of the church with a prayer shawl, radiating happiness as people partook in the new wine.

(One of the leaders shared a meaningful encounter – when picking up coffee at McDonald’s before church yesterday, the time on the teller changed from 916 to 917, a reference to the Scriptures in Matthew: “No one pours new wine into an old wineskin.”)

“Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”

Matthew 9:17
