Live According to the Future, not the Crises
I heard the Lord say, “LIVE IN THE FUTURE! Call those things that be not as though they already are, and then act like you believe it by moving in prophetic action. As you do this, you will move Heaven into the earth realm.”
2 Corinthians 4:17-18, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
If we live according to the crisis of the moment, we will never step into the future. As long as we focus on the circumstances that are at hand, we will never be able to walk into the greater weight of glory that is trying to come forth from our lives. However, as we focus on the things that God downloads to us, those glimpses of the future, it will work an even greater weight of glory in us. Stop living in past glories!
“Behold!”
“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?” (Isaiah 43:19)
As I was studying this Scripture, the Lord said that the word “behold” in Hebrew is the word for SEE. Whenever God would say to one of His prophets, “behold,” He was telling them to see into the future! In the above Scripture, He was saying, “See” I am going to do something new. Then He asks, “…shall you not know it?” I believe when God said to me, “LIVE IN THE FUTURE,” He was saying, “See the future and live like you are there, not like you are still bound by your circumstances.”
Faith is the Substance
All of the fathers of the faith in Hebrews 11 lived their lives by the future that they saw in the now. Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Notice it says “now faith is.” God said to me, “When you live in the now like you are in the future, it becomes the substance of what you are seeing.” Get it? Your faith doesn’t become tangible until you act like it is the truth in the here and now! In other words, THERE IS NO EVIDENCE UNTIL YOU LIVE LIKE IT. Hebrew 11:7 says, “By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household…”
God Wants You to Produce!
You see, Noah saw the future and then began to act like it was so. If you read through the rest of Hebrews 11 you will see that they all saw and then moved into their future. In Hebrews 11:6 it says, “And without faith it is impossible to please God…” The word “impossible” means WITHOUT POWER. So without seeing the future and acting as if you live there, you are powerless.
God cannot be pleased when you say you see and believe, but you do not move into the thing that you are seeing. Why is He not pleased? Because you cannot bring that heavenly thing into the earth realm until you act on what you are seeing. Whew! God just wants us to produce! That is why faith without works is dead (unproductive). God is not angry, He just wants production going on in His Kingdom people.
I hear the Lord say, “IT IS TIME TO LIVE IN THE FUTURE! It is time to take the things that I have shown you in past seasons and begin to live like they already are. It is time to walk into what I have planned for you and what I have ordained for you to walk in, even before the foundation of the world. If you will walk in the things that you behold and act as if they are already finished, then you will see Heaven break forth into the earth realm.
“NOW. Now, FAITH IS… Now act like My words ARE TRUTH. Now LIVE IN, MOVE IN and BREATHE My Word. It is time for those who say they are prophetic to live like they believe the words that I have spoken to them!
“You, My prophets, are to be a living, breathing, walking and talking example of what you have spoken. It is time to have the faith of God, who calls those things that be not as though they were, who spoke and the world was created, who came and lived the prophecies of the words of the prophets of old.
“It is time for My people to live the words that I have spoken through them. It is time to enact the Word into the earth. Then you will see the greatest harvest the world has ever seen. Then you will see the blind see and the dead raised to life again. Then you will hear Me say, ‘WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANTS, I AM WELL PLEASED!'” Arise Shine! Jo Ellen Stevens
