Julie Price: Word of the Week (September 4-10) Rending, Repenting, and Refreshing!
When something was rent in the Bible,
something significant was happening in the spirit realm.
A change in the heart, causes great change in your spirit,
that breaks forth in the natural!
The word rend means, “to separate into parts with force or violence. To tear apart, split, or divide. To pull or tear violently. To tear (one’s garments or hair) in grief, rage, etc. To disturb (the air) sharply with loud noise. To harrow or distress (the heart) with painful feelings. To split or tear something. To become torn or split.” Amazing right?
The Spirit is calling us to rend our hearts,
which leads to repentance
and times of great refreshing!
Acts 3:19 says, “Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
When it comes to our connection to the Father, it’s all about the heart. The Bible is filled with scriptures that help us see that when we rend our hearts and cry out to God in repentance, times of great refreshing will come. The Lord is bringing His people into the deeper waters of His heart, through heartfelt repentance of personal sins as well as the sins of the nations. In these deeper waters, we will find ourselves caught up in times of great refreshing from the river of His presence! We will also begin to see great shifts in the spirit realm that will break forth in the natural.
There are countless scriptures about the rending of the heart. Let’s look at a few more. Joel 2:11-13 says, “…Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning…rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.”
God is calling us to rend hearts, while the enemy is always seeking to gain ground in your heart.
Matthew 11:12 reminds us that the advancing of God’s kingdom is a violent, forceful thing! Why then, are we surprised when the enemy challenges us and seeks to take ground in our hearts? Don’t give it to him, and if you have, take it back!

The temple veil was torn when Jesus gave up HIS SPIRIT on the cross. It says in Matthew 27:50-53, “And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split, and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and[went into the holy city and appeared to many people.” Whoah!
When our hearts, our spirits, are fully yielded to the Lord, the spirit realm shifts, and the earth reacts!
As you spend time with the Lord this week, allow Him to purify your heart. Give it all to Him. Let Him pull those weeds and plant seeds that will bring forth the fruits of the Spirit that He wants to see come forth in your life. The Lord is drawing His people into a time of rending and repenting, because He wants you to experience the refreshing that you long for. This time and season in the body of Christ is significant. God is connecting those whose hearts are fully turned towards Him. It only takes a few warm coals to start a fire. As you continue to connect with those whose hearts are rent and refreshed by the Lord, revival is going to break out in greater intensity. He’s fanning the flames of the hearts that burn to know Him more and have submitted themselves wholly to that process. Get ready to, “burn baby burn”, and spread the fire of His love to the world around you!!!

A TURNAROUND FOR YOU..
A word by Dana Jarvis
I decree you are making the spiritual journey from the bondage of Egypt into your promised land of destiny. I know you have grown weary. Do not let the murmurings and complaining attitudes rule you. It causes the faith to waiver! Your focus is upon the cup of bitter waters that you are currently drinking from.
Rest assured that your God is making these bitter waters sweet!
You shall taste and see that the Lord is good! You are going to see such extravagance in your daily life. He is delivering much into your hands so reach up and take hold. Just as he was with you before, he is with you now. You are going to drink deep of the Living Waters. The bitter waters of life have tried to steal all joy.
However I hear the Lord say, “It is done, I am the Lord who heals you. I am the Lord who will restore you. I am the Lord who will provide your every need. I am the One that is making the bitter waters sweet!”
I feel so strongly that God is removing your cup of bitter waters you have had to drink for so long. He is causing a turnaround for you in a situation that you desperately need him to move. I am speaking to several and know this word is for you. Even as the Lord led Moses and the children of Israel from their bondage at the Red Sea, it still took one step of faith. One step of faith is all it takes to cause a release from all of this. Take a moment and sow into good ground by giving into Spirit Fuel. For just a contribution of $25, $50, or even $100 or more given into Spirit Fuel is an active step and good ground on which to sow. It is a powerful ministry reaching the world for Christ. As you sow that offering, it is that act of faith that will cause the Red Sea where you are standing to part in your life. The bitter cup will be removed and the sweetness of the Lord shall begin to flow!
