Mirror Mirror On The Wall ~ Who God Says You Are!
About a decade ago I had a powerful dream. In the dream I walked into the our spare bathroom and looked in the mirror. When I did, I saw a very deformed and disfigured face, and yet, I knew this was me. When I awoke from the dream my heart was pounding it felt so real. I asked the Lord what that dream meant and He told me, “This is how you see yourself Julie, but it is not how I see you. You see your identity as past traumas from your life, how others treat you, what they are saying about you, but this is not who you are. You are who I say you are.” I cried as He spoke this to me because there was a lot of pain from my past, but also because I was going through a lot in that present moment; being judged and misunderstood. As the days followed, more and more clarity came from that dream.
The Holy Spirit helped me see that I was having an identity crisis. In my dream I walked into my “spare” bathroom; not my “master” bathroom. The spare bathroom is the one other people used when they visited. The Holy Spirit was showing me that I was basing my identity on what others had said and done to me and not on who He says I am. The “master” sees someone completely different. I was allowing past circumstances and the words of others to determine who I was. This is why I dreamed of walking into my “spare” bathroom and seeing a deformed face (a deformed identity) in the mirror. Since that time, the Lord has been slowing training me to see who I really am, who He says I am, and what He created me to be for Him. The “Master” doesn’t see the same thing I saw in my dream that day. He sees me complete in Christ.
~Today the Holy Spirit wants you to know who you are.~

The Word of God is the best mirror to look at; the “master” bath. Your feelings, your past, what people say or think about you, this is a deformed image of who God says you are. When you come to know who you are, you are going to see who you can be. It’s time for a mind shift. It’s time to see ourselves from His eyes; His perspective. The more you see yourself from the eyes of God, the more your life will change. I can speak to this because Father God has and is truly transforming me into who He says I am.
It’s time to ask like the childhood fairytale, “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” When you realize that as far as God is concerned it’s you, there is nothing that can stop you! When you truly see your identity In Christ and live from that place you will become powerful, free and you will walk in your identity. Now is the time. Walk out of the spare bathroom and walk into the Master’s bathroom. Let Him clean you up and show you who you really are! Creation is groaning for you!
Romans 8:22-23, For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
