I feel the heaviness of your soul, I hear the accusations that the enemy is shouting at you! I can feel the guilt and shame eating away at your soul! You are so broken, so lost, so desperate for hope!
I am here to tell you that Jesus hears you! He sees you! He cares for you! He wants to give you a garment of praise for your mourning! Beauty instead of ashes freedom instead of guilt!
Isaiah 61
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion– to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
He wants you to be completely set free from the accusations and lies that torment you! You don’t have to live bound by fear, guilt and pain!
John 10:10-29 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
God Knows what you’re going through, how you’re feeling, He Is right there with you, He loves you. He died so that you could have and abundant life! In every aspect! If you have accepted Christ as your personal Savior, you are forgiven, you are made new. Jesus made a way for you to The Father, He reconciled us to our loving Creator. Your past mistakes and choices don’t define you! You are a new creation in Him! If you have repented and asked for forgiveness, He forgave you for that abortion, He forgave you for the adultery, He delivered you from that sickness, that addiction, from that eating disorder, from lying, from cheating, from stealing, from perversion !! There is no sin or sickness too big for Him!
Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
He died for everything we could ever commit or go through and for all humanity!! Past, present and future! Once and for all! The enemy keeps reopening those wounds, bringing to your memory what you did and what you said, but God is saying:
“Peace! Be still!! Shut your mouth satan! Get your hands off my child!!! He/She has been forgiven and washed with My blood! His/Her sins are no more! He/She is a new creation!!”
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
In Mark 4:37-41 When the winds started violently blowing, tossing the boat in the waves, the apostles woke Jesus up, saying:” Master! Don’t you care that we’re about to die?” What did Jesus do? He confidently rose, rebuked the wind and told it to shut up!
Mark 4:37-39 KJV
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
In the Strongs Concordance the word “Peace” in this verse means to make someone unable to speak, to make them involuntarily silent and still, to force them to be quiet! And the word to be “still” means to close the mouth with a muzzle, to muzzle, to stop the mouth, make speechless, reduce to silence, become speechless to be kept in check! How did He do that? By using His voice and His authority! And guess what?? If you’re a born again believer, He gave you the same authority! That is why he rebuked the apostles in verse 40 saying:
And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?
If they had believed in their authority and had exercised their faith instead of letting fear rule them, they could have rebuked the wind, just like Jesus did! And this applies to every situation in our lives.
Mark 16:17-18
And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Luke 9:1-2
1Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
Matthew 10:1
“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.”
There are so many scriptures that speak of the believer’s authority over the enemy!
We are the ones who give him the authority over our lives, by the way we live and think! If we have nothing in common with him, he has no authority over us, but if we give him foothold, he has legal authority!
Living consecrated lives and having an intimate relationship with The Lord are keys to understanding who we are in Him and to learning how to use all the tools we have been given as followers of Jesus.
The Father’s heart longs for you to be all that He Has created you to be and it all starts by knowing what Jesus’s sacrifice accomplished. Once we realize that He not only died so that we could be forgiven and have everlasting life, but that he also died for our sicknesses and afflictions of every nature. A very important step in receiving His abundant life, is realizing that we don’t have to do anything to receive it but it is through faith and grace that we receive. Feeling unworthy will only hinder you from receiving His blessings. No one is worthy of Jesus!
Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Start speaking to the storms in you life! Jesus Is with you in the boat, He’s telling you to speak to the wind and command it to stop! Pick up your staff! Use your faith, use your authority and watch The Lord turn things around for you!
Mark 11:23
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
