Identifying Familiar Spirits that cause repeated Spiritual Warfare in your life – A Word by Kathy DeGraw

Have you ever noticed repeated spiritual warfare manifesting in your life? Spiritual Warfare that repeats itself around certain seasons, events, or holidays? I used to get attacked in a certain month of the year and around a certain holiday each year. As this went on for years, I pressed into the Lord to see how I could combat such attacks. I didn’t want to feel defeated when Jesus has purchased my victory. Are you financial continually being attacked? Is it difficult to move forward in prosperity? Do you feel as though your relationships or employment opportunities are being sabotaged? Can you notice months or seasons you seem to be under intense warfare? These are some of the many signs a familiar spirit can be at work in your life. Identifying where the familiar spirits are at work in your life will assist you in relinquishing their attacks. Follow the steps I will be giving you to release the familiar spirits and spiritual warfare perpetrating your life: Identification: · Do you get depressed around the anniversary of the death of a loved one? Not depressed because of grief, but does it appear something else attacks you around that time to make you sad, angry, or frustrated? · Is there a holiday that is important for you to celebrate, but 2-4 weeks before the holiday, you find yourself struggling with sickness, dissension in a relationship, or financial strain? · Have you noticed around your birthday or anniversary, especially a month before receiving...

Encouragement To The Remnant – A Word by Yolanda Ballard

The calling on my life is worship intercession, but there have been times where I felt to just throw in the towel because the warfare upon worship was so intense. I remember one time I actually was leaving a conference because I could not break through even to worship. One man asked me where I was going. I told him what I felt and he said not to look on the warfare, but to look to Jesus who leads us in the battle. He has the breaker anointing and He will make the way. From that day on I’ve kept my eyes on Jesus and was able to have a breakthrough in worship. Times have even gotten more intense than before. Many praise teams have been robbed from congregations. People are having a hard time singing out, because of the spirit of intimidation. There has been much oppression and deadness of spirit during worship that it is disheartening where I just feel like crying out to Jesus to set the captives free. We can’t work it up in the natural. Only Jesus can set us free! Recently I was deep in worship and felt led to kneel down. I’ve never had a problem wherever I’ve been to kneel down on hard surfaces — but this was different. I felt it and really bad upon my knees and legs. I said, “LORD, what do I do? I don’t want to quench Your Spirit when you lead me to bow down, but...

Discerning Times and Seasons – A Word by Nathan Shaw

God’s prophetic time clock is ticking. He is aligning the nations for His, and their, purposes. When we prophesy over individuals, churches, cities or nations, it is important to discern the season each is in. In fact, releasing accurate prophetic information, without correctly discerning the season, can cause much harm. It is easy to assume that other people, churches etc. are in the same season that we are in. Succumbing to this mistake can result in giving a wrong word, or even a right word, but with a wrong emphasis. Natural Seasons and their Unique Characteristics Cooperating with natural seasons was central to the life of ancient Israel. Natural seasons enable the growth of natural harvests. Spiritual seasons, on the other hand, enable growth and maturity in individuals, churches and nations. There are four natural seasons, each with its unique characteristics: During spring, new things spring up. During summer, harvest is full. During fall, things fall away. During winter, everything dies. Each season requires a unique response: You plant in spring. You harvest in summer. You draw back in fall. You weather winter. In certain ways, natural seasons mirror the seasons we go through as individuals, churches and nations. Living In Your Season You can’t manipulate times and seasons. They are God’s domain (Daniel 2:21, Acts 1:7). You can merely discern the season and live in it. Some seasons are short. Some seasons are long. When you are anxious for a God appointed season to shift, you stop living fully...

Elevated Sons, Forsaken Fathers – A Word by Ryan Johnson

Every generation goes through their version of tug-of-war within who has the right answers, and who is wrong. There has always been this mindset within an older generation and within a younger generation. The battle is nothing new as it has occurred throughout the years. However, I do write this as I recognize that in the Body of Christ we are dangerously embarking on alienating a very important aspect from one generation in favor of another. Today, we have a multitude of young voices who are emerging to the forefront...

Prophetic Word – Windows of Opportunity Are Opening – A Word by Dr. Candice Smithyman

I hear the Lord saying, “This is a time of acceleration. Windows of opportunity are opening. Things are moving fast in the heavenly realms. New grain, new wine and new oil is coming from heaven.” All of these things are beginning to come to pass during the Days of Awe because they fulfill the requirement found in Joel 2:15: “Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.” We blew the trumpet and declared a holy fast. And we are returning to God in repentance and humility. So God is preparing to answer according to His promise in verse 19. God is revealing our hearts and uncovering things that need to be changed. We need to be still and listen for His voice, come into agreement with Him and obey direction. Joel 2:18 show us that God was jealous and has pity on His people. That word jealous is not the sinful attitude that comes to mind. It represents God’s desires to spend time with us because of His deep love towards His creation. As a result of our confession and repentance, God has compassion on us. He opens up the vats of heaven and sends us new grain, new wine and new oil. This provision is exactly what you need for this year, 5780. The Hebrew character “Pey” is used to represent the number 80 and it means mouth. Now is the time to open up your mouth and declare the truth. Speak what you...

Absalom: A church destroying spirit | 8 Signs you are under its influence – A word by John Burton

Absalom is a church destroying spirit that is fueled by human wisdom, complaint and gossip. I’ve written and taught on the Absalom spirit quite a bit, including in a provocative article I wrote yesterday. I’d strongly encourage you to read it here.  Interestingly, I received two emails today that hit on the topics in that article yesterday. One was from David Wilkerson on “Troubler of Israel” and the other was from Lance Wallnau on the Absalom spirit. I will include that article below. I share some key revelation on that...

Praying Hyde—The Apostle of Prayer—The Man Who Never Sleeps – A Word by Steve Porter

This is the story of a humble man—the son of a devout Presbyterian pastor from Illinois, by the name of John Nelson Hyde. It all began when John’s older brother, Edmund, heard his father fervently pray that God would send workers into the harvest. To that end, Edmund enrolled in the seminary, planning to be one of those harvesters. But it wasn’t long before he became ill, and his dream was cut short by his death. It was then that his brother, John, then caught the vision and studied to go to the mission field in Punjab, India. During that time, there were nearly a million unbelievers in an area served by only five missionaries. His efforts required incredible patience because it was a painstakingly slow transition. After his first year on the field, he penned the following letter to his seminary. Yesterday, eight low-caste persons were baptized at one of the villages. It seems a work of God in which man, even as an instrument, was used in a very small degree. Pray for us. I learn to speak the language very, very slowly: can only talk a little in public or in conversation.” Hyde was partially deaf, which no doubt added to his struggle to master the complex native languages. Though mission authorities tried to encourage him, they were frustrated when he spent more time studying his Bible than he did in language study. And rather than displaying the outgoing personality of a missionary, he seemed much more...

The Church Needs An Eye Exam Before We Can See 2020 – A Word by Wanda Alger

The Church of America is suffering from double vision. There are two different interpretations of reality being promoted today causing confusion, division, and an inability to move forward. Some are perceiving current issues in one way and others are challenging those perceptions with a different version of what is true and relevant. Until our corporate vision and ability to perceive by the Spirit is corrected and brought into alignment with heaven, we will have no clarity of purpose or unified strategy to confront the spiritual attacks coming against the Church and the nation. The liberal media is doing all it can to present their version of reality. Though “fake news” is now accepted as common place, it still has a hold on the hearts and minds of many. Even some sincere Christians are buying into the progressive disdain for the president and his administration’s agenda. Yet, the very thing that should set us apart as “Spirit-filled” believers is that we see things from a different vantage point. We do not judge by outward appearances or human reasoning. We judge by the Spirit; a higher reality that filters out the flesh and rightly interprets through heaven’s eyes. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14 ESV). If we are to have clear vision for this coming year and God’s purposes in the next election,...

When Jesus Is Enough – A Word by Dawn Hill

When the thrill of the experience has waxed cold and the fog lifts and the glow of the ambient light has dimmed in the presence of offending fluorescence, there is a questioning of the longevity of this sacred romance called Christianity. As a Christian, I realize that encounter and experience once took precedence in my life. It was the thrill of God seeming to chase me and give me a word, to have the “man or woman of God” call me out and declare greatness and mighty exploits. Hot tears and those euphoric goosebumps were my litmus test that He had touched me through the years. Is this how many of us have operated with God? It was not until this year that I came to grips with the truth. I was a starving sheep, feasting on encounter and messages with fillers and lacking true sustenance while snacking on His Word. Yes, I love Jesus Christ and have from the day that He became my Lord and Savior eighteen years ago. But without realizing it, this relationship had become “Jesus plus”. This is where many are in the body of Christ right now if there is brutal honesty. Either the plus is works based to win favor with God, which is not possible, or the plus is the experiences that trigger emotion and excitement. It seems that Jesus is not enough. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the call to be holy and sanctified is not enough. His Word...

I Am Releasing Strength In Your Inner Man! – A Word by Amanda Shiflett

I heard the Lord say ~ "Many of you, My warriors and My prophets, have been wearied by the fight you have been through in this last season. You feel somewhat discouraged and weak from the constant standing and warring against the onslaught of the enemy. Yes, his attacks have been great, but I am sending My Spirit even now, to give you strength in Your inner man...to blow His breath within you again, and strengthen you with great might in your spirit man! You are needing that strength to enable you to step up and do what is needed, to accomplish that which I have set for you to do in this new season. Come away with Me over the next few weeks...come tabernacle with me, and receive the extra strength that is so needed for your weary soul. As you spend this extra time with me, I will pour out to you strength in your spirit, strength in your soul, and in your body! For before My Spirit will blow in the land once again, He must blow into you, My chosen ones, to strengthen you, and give you all that is needed for this hour that is at hand. Please do not miss this time to be with Me, to tabernacle with Me, for if you do not receive these fresh winds of My Spirit, it will be very difficult for many of you in the weeks and months to come. You will grow more weary and...
