The past couple days have been pretty amazing. A couple friends of mine and I have been talking about how important it is to pray first. We have actually taken the time to slow down, listen and pray as led by the Holy Spirit through prompting through our conversation.
Lately it seems as though we are bombarded with so much from every side. Bombarded with good things. Opportunities to walk in the plan and purpose God has for our lives. Praying is the way that we can seek God to reveal the answers that are needed. From making decisions as to what door to walk through, to what needs to be written about for the day. Seeking God in all things and coming in agreement with another brother or sister in Christ has led many to receive answers at an accelerated rate!
Matthew 18:20
20 “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
We had spoken on the phone, talked about praying first and God wanted to prove how we were on the right track! I pulled into a gas station just about a few hours later and there was a nice older lady there pumping gas. I saw her license plate and asked if I could take a photo. She obliged and smiled. I was so excited how God aligned the timing to pull up at just the right time to see!
God has given so many answers to prayer quickly and it has kept us in complete awe. Answers have varied from healing, to new houses, from a desire to dream, to God helping people organize better. God is extending time and accelerating time. He is doing what only God can do.
Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, Seek, Knock
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
In this season, we must Ask, Seek, and Knock. Ask God to guide you, to show you exactly what He desire for you to do. Seek Him in all things for the answers to your prayers. Knock on Heavens door for the answer by taking your prayers to the throne and leaving them there.
There’s no rhyme or reason to praying. There’s no formula that you have to figure out. Just talk to God like you talk to your friends and family. Talk to Him like He is sitting right there with you. Why? Because He is. He is with you always and He will answer. God’s timing is perfect.
As we enter into His presence by going into our secret place and praying to God, the revelation will pour out and it is an important key to apply Habakkuk 2:2.
Habakkuk 2:2
2 Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.”
This is something that I encourage my 8 year old and 11 year old to do as well. We journal through drawings and writing. The boys love to write it down and see how God answers their prayers. Try doing this with your children too! You will be amazed at how it grows their trust in God!
On today, take the time to be still, pray first and listen.
Father, I want to first thank you for reminding us to pray first. I also ask you that you move on our hearts to have a hunger and thirst for more of you. Lord, please remind us to always seek you in all things. We are knocking on Heaven’s door and bringing our requests and petitions to you. Lord God, please move on the behalf of your children and their requests. We know your timing is perfect and we are waiting in anticipation for your answers. We love you Lord. We will forever give you all the honor, glory, and praise. In Jesus name, Amen
