I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, “It is TIME for you to get your expectation back!” This year is going to be a year for your mouth to declare what you have seen and heard in the Spirit. Make sure that your words line up to His Word! You cannot waste any more time coming into agreement with the enemy, speaking out what you see in the natural. Your circumstances may be mocking your promise right now but get ready for God to shift gears and bring acceleration to what He has spoken. Though, it is necessary to remind you that, “Your mouth must come into alignment with God’s promises. It is the canal that God is using to birth His purpose.”

“A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.” (Prov. 12:14)

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Prov. 18:21)

Those of you who have been facing battle after battle have found that your expectation of God’s promises has become depleted. In fact, you are so “battle-worn” that you have started expecting for bad things to happen to you. You have even accepted that this has become your lot in life and are looking for the other shoe to drop. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy. God is calling you to shift your focus and to start expecting Him to move for you.

According to dictionary.com, “expectation” is defined as “the state of expecting; the act or state of looking forward or anticipating, an expectant mental attitude,” and “the degree of probability that something will occur.”

It is common to say of a woman that is pregnant, “She’s expecting”. Likewise, the same should be said of you! You too are pregnant with the Words that the Lord has spoken over your life. Start expecting God to bring forth that which He has promised you. As a woman who is expecting a baby in the natural will begin to prepare for the soon-coming arrival, you, too, need to take the steps to prepare for the “Suddenly” that is coming into your life.

See how Habakkuk prepared for the suddenly—he wrote the vision, he told it verbatim to others, and he waited patiently: “Then the Lord said to me, Write My answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed” (Hab. 2:2-3, NLT).

The “slow in coming” had an assignment in your destiny. It prepared you to possess your promised land. Yes, your destiny is tied to “slow in coming”, but that is not the last word on the matter. No, take notice of the last statement, “It will not be delayed.” We are in a time where acceleration is suddenly coming on the revelation of the promises God has spoken over you. You cannot quit now! Get your expectation back! Be watching for God’s arrival in your situation. Start looking for God’s miracles, blessings, outpouring and revival.

I hear the Lord saying these words, as if it was an alarm sounding to awaken you, “Revelation! Expectation! Preparation! Manifestation!” I have heard these words over and over for the last month and I cannot shake them. Do not miss this set time on God’s calendar. The opposition that you have faced has been sent to derail you from pressing into your NOW.

Revelation is the seed that impregnates you with Expectation. The two always go hand in hand in the Kingdom of God. The spirit of religion hates an expectant heart. It does not want you to go to another level in God. Religion wants to trap believers in the status quo of dead Christianity, but Jesus is the resurrection and life. Let your hope be resurrected today.

“Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come, And the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you” (Isa. 60:1, AMP)

Learn a lesson about expectation from the story of the two blind men who came to Jesus to receive their sight.

“As Jesus left the house, two blind men began following him, shouting out over and over, ‘Son of David, show us mercy and heal us!’ And they followed Him right into the house where Jesus was staying. So Jesus asked them, ‘Do you believe that I have the power to restore sight to your eyes?’ They replied, ‘Yes Lord, we believe!’ Then Jesus put His hands over their eyes and said, ‘You will have what your faith expects!’ And instantly their eyes opened—they could see! Then Jesus warned them sternly, ‘Make sure that you tell no one what just happened!’” (Mat. 9:27-30, TPT).

Jesus asked them, “Do you believe?” I hear Him asking you the same question today. His Word to you is the same that He spoke to the blind men, “You will have what your faith expects.”

We have already gone into a new year on the Jewish calendar and will soon be crossing into the new year on the Gregorian calendar, I hear Him saying, “This year, prepare for the manifestation of your expectation!”
