For many months now the Lord has been highlighting roosters to me. Whenever something is highlighted continually before me I make sure to not assume why or what He is speaking to me regarding the object or thing highlighted. So…I’ve been waiting, listening and watching for the revelation that aligns with God’s times and seasons.
This morning as I woke up I saw what was nothing short of an powerful and yet absurd vision. I saw believers across the United States of America standing or perched on the top of roofs, like roosters, and they were crowing loudly and without ceasing for the awakening of the dawn of the new day. They were not announcing the dawn but rather their sound was causing the dawn to awaken!
I somehow understood that the light of the new day was being delayed by a dark force of opposition that kept our nation (and the nations of the world) in the darkest part of the night (it is darkest right before the dawn). The Lord is calling believers across the nation to get upon their “rooftops” and release the sound that will pull in the light of dawn! It is a partnership with Heaven’s armies and the sons and daughters of the Creator of Heaven and Earth. We are to crow, to roar, to sing, to shout and to declare the establishment of the new day.
The enemy is always trying to change God’s appointed times and seasons but we can triumph over his delays by obeying what the Lord is asking us to do. We cannot be found sleeping in the dark of early morning (before the light appears) but we must rouse ourselves awake so that we can “awaken the dawn!” We can break through the delay and darkness to release the sound that brings forth the new day.
There is great power and authority in this sound. Again, it is not merely the announcing of a new day; for that has already been done by the prophet’s voices! This is the sound of God’s people rising up in His authority to break through the delay and establish the light of the new day. It will open the door to the Promised Land by parting the darkness like the Jordan River was parted when the children of Israel passed from the wilderness into Canaan! It is clearing the threshold to be passed over and making a way where there has been no way.
What is the new day? It is another great awakening! Not only for our nation but for the nations of the world! I believe we’ve already passed into the early hours of the new day but the light and dawn has been delayed by the enemy. Many are still found sleeping and unaware that the awakening has begun. It is time for those who are awake to release their sound and command the light of this new day to appear for all to see. It is time to sound the alarm that awakens the sleepers…it’s time to shout it from the rooftops!
“What I tell you now in the darkness, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear!” Matthew 10:27
Jesus has come to awaken the dead! This will be a great awakening that brings the dead to life, the sick to health, the lost into family and light into darkness. So go to your rooftops and let your voice be heard! Shout it out so all will hear and let your sound break through the delay. The great awakening HAS begun!
