I’m really sensing right now that the body of Christ is returning to an awakened call of the ultimate importance of REST AND PRAYER.
I heard the Lord say today, “I want my people to stop treating prayer like a handbag or a glitzy piece of jewelry!”
We can often add it as an optional extra to make our lives look pretty, but a deep prayer life should be the center of our walk with the Lord. It does not matter how anointed we are, if we don’t have time for intentional rest and pause from the demands in our worlds, we are simply too busy.
So this is my little reminder to you (and me) that it may look good and be good, but not all of it is necessary or needed from you. If we want to live in the power Jesus gave to us, if we are to have a voice into our spheres of influence, we need to get on our knees and fall on our faces and call out to God as if our lives depended on it!
The world right now needs solutions that only Heaven can bring. If we are not hearing Him, it’s not because He isn’t speaking, it’s because we are not listening. Busyness and a shallow prayer life will do that! He has a lot to say and will even tell you His secrets if you make yourself available.
