Rise Above the Noise- A Word by Joe Joe Dawson
I recently had a vision where I was in a large crowd of people. Then I
started to be elevated, really high above the crowd. The higher I went, I
couldn’t hear anyone from below me. Then the Lord said, “Where I am taking
you, you will have to live a life above the noise. You will have to rise
above the crowd, above the noise where others opinions no longer matter.
Rise above the noise and just keep doing what I’ve called you to do.”
In this day and age, we must learn to rise above the noise. It seems like
everyone has an opinion about everything. It doesn’t matter what you do for
a living or a hobby, everyone has an opinion about you on social media. If
you write a blog, an article or anything that people can read publicly,
people have an opinion. It doesn’t matter if you are saying something
positive, negative or if it is about a politician or a sports team, people
all have an opinion. The sad thing is, many people waste their lives giving
their opinions about what everyone else is doing but they aren’t doing
This is why it is so important that we learn to rise above the noise and
make our lives count. Do not worry about the endless chatter that is
happening all around you. Don’t worry about what anyone says or thinks
about you. Instead give all of your attention, effort and energy to
accomplishing your God-given destiny. Rise above the noise and run after
everything God has called you to do and complete the task that has been
given to you. 2 Timothy 4:7 says to “finish the race and keep the faith”.
Philippians 3:14 says we are to “hit our mark” and “gain the prize of the
high calling of God”. My friends, if you are going to finish your race and
hit your mark, you are going to have to rise above the noise and the
opinions of those sitting on the sidelines of life.
Don’t pay any attention to the people who are coming against you. I often
write articles, like this one and certain publications will post them on
their online platform. I had a friend ask me one time, “Joe, when your
articles are published online sometimes they have over 1,000 comments. How
do you deal with that?’ My simple answer was, “I don’t! I don’t even read
them.” If I know I am communicating what God has spoken to me and doing
what God has called me to do, then I don’t care what anyone else says or
thinks about me. My only concern is to be right in my Father’s eyes. If I
know that I am walking in my God-given destiny, I will not allow someone
with a natural opinion come against me and stop me from moving forward in
my Kingdom assignment. To rise above the noise we must guard who and what
we listen and pay attention to.

The is a time and this is a season where we must rise above the noise of
the world and hear from Heaven. The endless chatter of the world will
always be noisy but allow God to elevate you, bring you up higher, and give
you clarity. It’s time to rise above the noise!
