L. Hernandez is a woman whose warrior heart has been forged in the fire of adversity. She carries with her a Deborah anointing and an instinctive ability to see the behind the scenes attempts of the enemy. Her warrior heart started in the earth realm as a mother of two sons and a wife of one wonderful husband.

Lisa studied Karate, kick boxing, Hand to hand combat and weapons for more than two decades, retiring recently to work with at risk youth. Her weapon of choice is the Sword. God has taken Lisa’s special understanding of warfare and strategy and given her eyes to see into the spirit realm where she applies her gifts whole heartedly for the glory of the Lord.

She will be the first to tell you that; “You are not Samurai” (One who serves) unless you have a king to serve. She wears her king’s armor every day, laying the Sword of the spirit at His feet, only to take it up again at the King of Kings command.

“Spirit Cry!” – A Word by Lisa Hernandez

Lisa Hernandez

Email: [email protected]

In April 2017 I was in my quiet time with the Lord when I suddenly felt the Holy Spirit come upon me.  This is not the first time I have received a word from Him.  He has often petitioned me to pray for nations and leaders near and far.  But this word was different.

As I began to write what I was hearing in this open vision, He told me that we as women had lost our roar.  And He who is faithful wanted to restore the lionesses roar.

I am a black belt and I trained in Karate, Kickboxing, Hand to Hand Combat and weapons for more than 2 decades.  I was once a fierce competitor.  But when I ran after the Lord with everything that I am I let go of all of that and went to work with troubled youth.

When I was an instructor I taught many self-defense classes to women.  And one of the things I taught them; in fact, one of the first things I taught them was the KI (the spirit cry.)  In China, it is called Chi.  In Japan, it is called KI.  Both reference the use of a loud prolonged cry uttered from deep in the gut.  It has been shown that shouting as you fight can increase your intensity.  It releases endorphins and is a call to the body that we are under attack!  Our own mighty armed forces also learn the “Sprit Cry” in their training.

When I taught women to KI I often would go through the explanation that I just gave to you. However, I would add this; “The Christian would call this inner Spirit- Holy Spirit.”  Even then, I knew that the true cry of the warrior for God is the Roar!  Look at the definition.  “A full deep, prolonged cry uttered by a lion.”

But it is not only my roar that the Lord wanted me to re-discover.  He wanted me to use His voice of authority; His “ROAR!”

As an instructor or Sensei; I had the opportunity to work with women who had been in hidden shelters because of the abuse that they and their children had suffered.  I can never forget how beaten down the ladies looked at the start of the class.  I would get them all fired up by giving them a “pep talk” and then I would teach them how to use their voice.  This was so important because one of the first things the devil will do to try to get you to comply is to take away your ability to assert yourself by speaking against the enemy.  The women were shy at first, but I would pace back and forth in front of them urging them to SHOUT louder, louder! And then I would see the look in their eyes change from weary to alive!  They stood up straighter and opened their mouths wider and then they would ROAR!  Of course I taught the ladies some basic self-defense moves that could help them break the grip of their attacker and disable them.  But it all started with the spirit cry.  I loved seeing the look on the children’s faces as they saw their mothers regain their voice.  They were brimming with admiration for them.  What a beautiful thing to behold, praise God!

 God’s word is full of examples of Holy fighters bellowing this roar of the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

 Revelation 5: 5

Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has triumphed.  He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

We see that Christ is referred to as “the Lion of the tribe of Judah.”

He is the true King from the lineage of David.  He is Lord of Heaven and earth.  There is power in using the names of God when we pray.  We like to Pray in the name of Jesus to the Father. This is how we should pray.

Maybe we should also add praying in the name of Jesus, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the lamb that was slain but is alive!

He is the one who holds the keys to the seven seals!  He holds the keys to our deliverance from the enemy!  Here it is again in Genesis;

Genesis 49: 8-10

 “Judah, your brothers will praise you;

your hand will be on the neck of your enemies;

your fathers’ sons will bow down to you.

You are a lions cub, Judah;

you return from the prey, my son.

Like a lion, he crouches and lies down,

like a lioness-who dares to rouse him?

The scepter will not depart from Judah,

nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,

until he to whom it belongs shall come

And the obedience of the nations shall be his.

What should we learn from the Lion of the Tribe of Judah?

Joshua Chapter 10:24-26

When they had brought these kings to Joshua, he summoned all the men of Israel and said to the army commanders who had come with him, “come here and put your feet on the necks of these kings.”  So they came forward and placed their feet on their necks.

Joshua said to them, “do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.  Be strong and courageous.  This is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are going to fight.” …

It is a rather gruesome picture of what the LORD will do for his people against their enemies.  This applies to the spiritual fighting men and their kings, rulers, dark forces and wickedness.

There are many examples of the LORD fighting for His people.

Did you know that when we stand firm and let God fight for us that we take the spiritual spoils away from the enemy of our souls? This includes rest.

Jesus said, “Come, all you who are weary and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:30

The word Shiloh refers to the Messiah.  Shiloh translates roughly as [a place of worship and rest]; Verses 11-12 refers to the abundance of riches that would belong to the tribe of Judah.  This applies to the spiritual riches in Christ that flow from the throne in heaven to those who have been grafted into the family tree.

Romans 11:11-24, John 15:1-17.  We are grafted into the lineage of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.  None other than King Jesus!  And this is what He says about His descendants; Numbers 23:21- 24

No misfortune is seen in Jacob,

No misery observed in Israel.  The LORD their God is with them;

the SHOUT of the King is among them.

God brought them out of Egypt they have the strength of a wild ox.

There is no divination against Jacob.

No evil omens against Israel.

It will be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘See what God has done!’

The people rise like a lioness, they rouse themselves like a lion;

that does not rest until it devours its prey,

and drinks the blood of its victims.

Where does the ROAR fit into this inheritance?

Look again at the verses above.  Did you catch it?  “The Shout of the King is among them.”

When we fight for the LORD and His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven; We will enjoy times of rest and refreshing by His Mercy.

Can I get an AMEN!

I pray  you would look at it with fresh insight from the Holy Spirit.  Pray with me;

 “Lord Jesus, the Lion of the tribe of Judah.  How great is your glory!  ADONAI, we kneel before your throne and ask you to now open our spiritual eyes to what we have not seen.  Show us, Lord.  Open our spiritual ears to what we have not yet perceived.  Show us, Lord.  In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, AMEN!

Now, I commission you : Walk as bold as lions.  Be as gentle as Doves, and as wise as serpents.  Take back your territory!  Take no Spiritual prisoners!

My all for The Glory of the LORD!

L. Hernandez
