Prophetic Insight

Stop Hiding ~ Start Living – A Prophetic Journey Through the Song of Solomon (Part Two)

In Part One, I shared the vision the Lord gave me of He and I taking off on a horse together and the journey of His crazy love for you and I. This vision continued in my mind as I began reading chapter two.  I began to see how much He loves us and it continued to woo me. I could feel my relationship going to a whole new level and I began to feel His heart for all of His beloved.  Jesus is maturing His bride. He’s taking us to a place where soon, we will consummate the relationship and become one with Him in such a way that we accurately and passionately reflect the One we love. When we do, we will touch souls and change lives like never before, and all for the glory of our Beloved.

Jesus began to show me how much I stand out to Him. He really does see me. I am a lily among thorns to Him. He sees “me”.  “Jesus YOU, see ‘me’….and just that thought alone is making me fall in crazy love with You. You see me, and You still love me; the good, the bad, and the ugly. You are pursuing me, and even when I wasn’t pursuing You, Your eyes were on me. You keep speaking of how unique, special, and loved I am, and now I am hooked and gushing over You. I’ve been brought into Your chambers, Your banqueting house, the house of wine, and Your banner over me is love. This banner means I have been disguishingly marked by you. I am marked by Your love Jesus.”

that it’s important not to stir up or awaken love until it pleases.  The Lord showed me that this means our relationship with Him will reach it’s consummation at the ‘the right time’ (like the marriage bed). Jesus knows just how to bring us along, and we all have an appointed time. This can not be rushed. This verse helped me see that even His timing is beautiful. Jesus and I have been growing in our relationship and understanding of each other all this time. I’m now beginning to see my Beloved even more clearly and His love is wooing me. We are going to a whole new level in our relationship where soon, we shall consummate and be completely one. When we are truly one with Jesus, we will reflect Him and His glory in a mighty way; the way He deserves to be reflected.  At this point I began to pray, “So many of Your people have it all wrong Lord; as did I. You are a good God. You are so good Jesus. You are always pursuing us and You love us so much. You have great plans for us and You long to heal the hurting and the lost. Once your bride grows in maturity to accurately reflect You, there is no way people won’t come running and fall madly in love with You the way that I have Jesus; though I know I’m not the only one. You are wooing Your people Jesus. You are knocking.”  Oh please church! Let Him in!

In verses 8-13, the Bride is adoring her beloved. She says, “The voice of my beloved! Behold, he comes, leaping over the mountains, bounding over the hills. My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, there he stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, looking through the lattice.” As I read these verses, my mind returned to the vision once again of Jesus coming up swiftly on a horse, throwing me onto the back of it with Him, and running off with me.  In verse 9, Jesus really began to open up my eyes.  It says, “My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag.  Behold, there he stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, looking through the lattice.”  Did you hear it?  Jesus is always in pursuit of us.  And here Jesus began to speak to me, “Julie, those walls you have put up all around you; those thick protective walls, this ‘safe zone’ you have created for yourself, it doesn’t stop Me.  I’m still here and I’m looking through the windows and the lattice.  I still see you.   I’m looking into your soul.  Let the walls come down Julie.  I won’t hurt you.  It was never Me that hurt you.  Let your guard down.  Let Me in.”  At this point I see my walls coming down like a landslide and as I continue to read on, I realize Jesus really wants me to understand that it’s over.  I’m coming out of the wilderness, that my appointed time as come.

As I finished reading verses 10-14, tears came to my eyes because I could feel Jesus saying this time me in a very personal way,  “Arise my beautiful one and come away, for behold the winter has passed; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree ripens its figs, and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance.”  Jesus is removing the obstacles; the mountains and hills, the things in me that have stood between us and our love, the things that have prohibited destiny from coming forth in my life.  I said to Him, “Ok Jesus, I’m getting back up, one more time.  I’m willing to be vulnerable again and see where this takes me.”  I read on through verse 14 and again said to Him, “Jesus you are calling me Your dove again, Your pure one, into the secret place (the cleft of the rock).  You want to hear my voice and see my pretty face.  Really?  You are winning me over with such talk Jesus, such love!”

But wait, there’s more!  Jesus you are saying now in verse 15, “Catch the foxes for ‘us’, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.”  I asked Him, “Who is the ‘us’ Jesus?”  He responded, “Me, Myself, and I of course.  The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.”  I responded, “Ok, wow Jesus.  I hear You.  Now, what are the foxes?  I will do anything just to be with You Jesus.  What are the foxes?”  He said to me, “Julie those are the difficulties that threaten Our relationship.  They have to go.  The traumas you have gone through, they have to go.  They do not represent your true identity.  They are not who you are in Me.  They are not your identity.   Give them to Me.  There are also friendships in your life that I am ending.  They are distracting and hindering you.  They have had their season in your life.  Let them go.  Trust me.  Let them go.  I am bringing new people into your life.  They will help your garden grow, your vineyard to blossom.  They are healthy friendships.  Trust me.  I will take care of those I am asking you to let go of.  Let go.  You will understand soon.  I had no idea little foxes could do so much damage.  I said to Him, “Jesus I had no idea these things were ruining the whole vineyard.  I even thought I had pretty much overcome the traumas, but boy was I wrong. And the unhealthy friendships, that makes sense now Jesus.  This is why I had been feeling stuck with You isn’t it Jesus?  These foxes had taken a toll on me.  You really do know us better than we know ourselves.  You have come for me just in time Jesus.  I couldn’t take much more, and according to You Jesus, my vineyards are in blossom, so we have to get these foxes out quickly.  Every trauma, every single thing that could possibly be keeping me from You; from my identity.”

Chapter two ends with her saying in verse 17, “Until the day breathes and the shadows flee, turn, my beloved, be like a gazelle or a young stag on cleft mountains.”  I believe she is saying to her beloved just what my heart is feeling at this point on the journey, “Don’t go! I hear what you just said to me and until the day is done and all the shadows flee Jesus, all the darkness that tried to consume me, please don’t leave me!  Come back, turn, I realize how much I love you and need you.”  I believe the Lord is asking His people to search out their vineyards, their hearts, and allow Him to remove anything that is not of Him.  Even the little things, the foxes, that are hindering your relationship with the Lord and His ability to mature you and shape you into your identity; who you really are in Him and the things He is longing to do through you.  This could be traumas, hurts, bitterness, unhealthy friendships, anything.  You may find some of the foxes He reveals to you a bit surprising, but remember, He is jealous for us.  He wants nothing to come between your relationship with Him.  You won’t regret it.  Let your walls down.  He’s already there waiting for you to let Him in.  Don’t delay.  Until next time….
