Sync to His Time! – A Word by Sylvia Neusch

As I was preparing for church last Sunday, I felt I heard the Lord say, “Tell my people they must sync with My time”. He had my attention, so I begin to listen and step into what He was saying through these words. I then saw a picture of someone coordinating and setting their watch so that it was in the exact time that it should be. Next, I heard in my Spirit these words from John 4:35, “Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.”

I believe the Lord is saying, “It’s harvest time!” But, not only that, I believe He is issuing a clarion call for His Church to be AWAKE, ALERT, and AWARE of His timing. We have had many distractions all through last year and now into 2021. I know we have all felt the weight of circumstances and very real problems that have tried to pull us into thinking and reacting defensively. But, God has a different path for His people in this time and is calling us to SYNC with His time. Syncing with His time requires faith and a sensitivity to what the Spirit is saying in this hour. Syncing with His time is about aligning with what the Spirit of God is doing and saying in this season and hour.

It Is A Kairos Time

The word, “Kairos” is used more than 80 times in the New Testament. The meaning of kairos from the NASB Greek Lexicon is “A fixed and definite time, the time when things are brought to crisis, the decisive epoch waited for- opportune or seasonable time – the right time – a limited period.

We are in a kairos moment and a kairos time. We are living in an appointed time and a specific culmination of time of things that have been long waited for, and prayed about for generations.

There are several times in scripture where Jesus dealt sternly with those who missed their “kairos” tie. One such case is found in Luke 12: 54-56, “He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?”

Jesus was not just talking to his disciples at this moment, but he was also addressing the multitudes. There was an expectation on Jesus’ part that they would all be able to interpret the times they lived in. They had been brought up in a culture that knew the Messianic prophecies, yet the One fulfilling them stood in their midst and still they missed it. Jesus wanted everyone to discern the time (kairos) in which they lived.

Jesus lived in such a manner that He was completely “in sync” with His Father’s timing and purposes. Jesus lived according to “kairos” or appointed time. He didn’t do things randomly or haphazardly, but lived in communion with His Father and continually heard the heartbeat of Heaven. In Matthew 12:1, it says, “At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them.” In this verse, the word “time” is kairos. It may have seemed like an ordinary moment, but as we read further on in chapter 12, we find His timing set Him up for an important confrontation with the Pharisees and the religious spirit in which they operated.

Intentional Focu

I believe the enemy has manipulated and controlled many through distractions during the past year. The greater the pull of distractions, the greater the loss of “traction” has been. Many have been taken off course through his schemes, and some are weary and struggling to now find their way. But, God is issuing a call to align and sync ourselves with Him and His appointed time. Following His timing and voice is not a heavy burden, but it does require “yoking” ourselves to Him.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give your rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matt. 11:28-30)

I hear the Lord saying, “Step into the place I have for you. You are not alone in your journey and you must not try to walk alone. Trust in Me My dear ones. Is not our journey together a place of trust? Trust and obey and you will find My grace there to accompany you every step of the way. Distractions have robbed you of destiny moments, but aligning with Me and My timing will bring the necessary course correction. Allow Me to heal the broken places of your heart that have kept you bound and unable to trust. As you sync with My time you will feel the freedom, exhilaration, rest, and deep fulfillment for which you were created. Awaken and lift up your eyes to see and experience My kairos time, and together we will see the great harvest of the nations.
