During the last week of 2019, the Lord dropped the word reset in my spirit. I didn’t think much of it at first, but as time went on the word reset began to pull at me. I saw in the spirit this big red button that had the word R-E-S-E-T spelled on it, and this hand hitting the button. So I began to seek the Lord to hear what he was saying about “reset.” Reset can be defined as to set again, adjust, fix in a new or different way, to become set again (dictionary.com). When I read the definition of reset, I heard the Lord say He’s resetting his people in 2020. This reset word is not to be taken as another cliche’ word. He’s resetting His people back to divine purpose, intent, and destiny. 2019 and really the past few years have been an attempt by the enemy to disconnect us and get us out of alignment with the divine purposes and destiny. Ephesians 2:10 TPT says, “We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!” I want to encourage you whatever 2019 looked like, God has planned your destiny and the good works you will do. Whatever took place in 2019 doesn’t change that. Until it looks like what God has declared and spoken over your life its not over till matches that. God is resetting you back to divine purpose and intent where the enemy has tried to get you off track. You’re being reset and recalibrated.

The big red button stuck out to me and I asked the Lord the meaning for it. He said, “The red stands for my blood that is covering everything that has occurred in 2019. Tell my people to stop looking back and looking over their shoulders, my blood covers it. My blood speaks and declares a better thing over their lives than what the circumstances around them are saying. Every time the enemy tries to bring up what happened in 2019, hit the reset button. The reset is declaring my blood covers it. It’s under the blood, and no longer has the power over you like it once did. My blood covers it all.” Hebrews 12:24 declares, “To Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.” The blood of Jesus is speaking a better word over your life and 2020. 2020 will not be like 2019.

I also heard the Lord say as we step into 2020, “I’m making all things new.” Revelation 21:5 TPT states, “And God-Enthroned spoke to me and said, “Consider this! I am making everything to be new and fresh. Write down at once all that I have told you, because each word is trustworthy and dependable.” The Hebrew word for make is poieo meaning to produce, construct, form, fashion, make ready, prepare. New in the Hebrew is kainos -fresh, recently made, unused, unworn, substance of a new kind, uncommon, unheard of. As you step into 2020 and walk out this year what you surrender to the Lord He will make new and rebrand. What hasn’t worked or fit in past seasons the Lord is restructuring in a brand new way that will go forth. The Lord is going to breath upon what you give to him, your ideas, dreams, books, music, businesses, ministries, etc. The Lord is releasing a freshness on your life and the things you’ve been working on that will grab the attention of others causing them to look in your direction. As the Lord told John to write these words because, each word is trustworthy and dependable you can take His word to the bank. It is sure and true. God is not a man that He would lie. You’re going to begin to see a fresh wind and a turnaround in 2020. What you thought was dead or forgotten, the Lord is breathing upon it. New life and freshness is coming to you in 2020. It’s time to run with the vision God has given you. The time is now. Reset. The Lord wants to renew the spirit of your mind. Romans 12:2 says, “We are transformed by the renewing of our minds according to the word of God,” You can’t take last season’s mindset with you into 2020. It won’t work. You must leave it at the door of 2020. The Lord has a fresh perspective, new ideas, and new thoughts He desires for you to walk in.

In closing, I kept hearing the Lord say, “Many will taste and see My goodness in 2020 where they could not before.” Your “taste” or discernment affects how you see. Psalm 34:8 says, “O taste and see that the Lord is good.” Where many are saying this is the year or season of the seers. It’s important you allow the Lord the deal with the parts of this past season. Bitterness will affect your ability to hear and see clearly in the spirit. Once again, as you surrender those things to the Lord, he will change the waters to sweet as he did in Exodus 15. You will taste and see the goodness of the Lord. As you taste, know, and experience His goodness it was cause you to have greater discernment and clarity where you did not have it before, that caused you to miss things in past seasons. As you reset the Lord is restoring your spiritual sight and discernment that will be key in the seasons to come. It’s time to RESET and get positioned as you enter 2020! The best is yet ahead!
