Three Tables Are Set – A Word by Alane Haynes

Recently as I was worshipping the Lord, I went into a vision where I could see I was in a dark and very deep valley. It was nighttime, and the valley was surrounded by tall mountains. On the top of each I could see the outlines of men and instinctively knew they were enemies. Then I was above all of it and saw that I was actually seated at a table covered in a cloud of golden glory – it was glowing and luminous in the midst of the darkness. As I peered into the glory, I saw that the table was furnished with a lush and extravagant setting of the finest quality and filled with abundance of delights.

I heard by the Spirit, “The table is set,” and as I sought the Lord, and examined the scriptures, Holy Spirit spoke to me that there are three tables set, and all have to do with overcoming our enemies. There is application on many levels – personal both internal and external, and corporate – as well as in dealing with things happening on a national and international level in the world. The Lord impressed upon me that it is imperative that we ensure we are eating from tables of Truth, and not the tables of deception the enemy brings.  I heard, “When we eat from the tables of deception, we move out from the place of protection.” The three tables are:

1) The table in Ps. 23 which is prepared for us to partake of as we rightly recognize and declare God’s identity and place our trust in Him – in the presence of our enemies.

2) The King’s table in 2 Sam. 9:11-13, which is ours by covenant, where we partake of and embrace our new identity.

3) The table in Esther chapters 5-6, which we prepare through divine strategy and bring about the demise of the enemies wicked plans.

1) THE TABLE PARTAKEN OF IN THE PRESENCE OF OUR ENEMIES WHEN WE DECLARE GOD’S IDENTITY

“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” (Ps. 23:5)

There is a table set before us in the presence of our enemies, that is lavish with the presence of God; full of all we need to partake of to be victorious, satisfied and overflowing with anointing. Dark days are ahead, but there are days full of awe and glory ahead also, and our belief and trust in the LORD will determine our perception and our experience.

Verses 1-4 reveal an order bringing revelation to David of the table prepared for him.  David declares his faith in the Lord and recounts multiple aspects of the Lord’s divinity as he testifies of Him.

1)      He is the Great Shepherd of the sheep – leading, protecting and providing for us. We will have no lack!

2)      He is the Sovereign One, ordering our steps into His rest and goodness.

3)      He is the Restorer of our souls – every place of wounding He restores and makes whole. He leads us into His righteousness, for His Name’s sake, because we are His, called by His Name!

4)      He Himself is our righteousness. We can stand in confidence in the face of evil, as He is our shield, our banner, our defense; He is our ever present help in time of need.

5)      Even in the valley of the shadow of death where fear tries to rule and reign over our hearts, He is always with us. Fear will not rule when we perceive His rod and staff. Rod speaks of His authority over all that is created! Staff actually means support; a walking stick. When we lean into Him, nothing can harm us, for all things are subject to Him!

He has already prepared the table that we will partake of in the midst of, surrounded by, our enemies. In fact, the preparation is warfare. In Strong’s Concordance, the word “prepared” in this verse means put in order; set the battle in array. Our enemies are God’s enemies, and when we make declarations about who He is the enemy cannot touch us for there is a greater glory that encompasses us. Even as the Lord provided the cloud by day and the fire by night, I declare to you that you are covered and protected by the cloud and fire in the presence of His glory as you trust and abide in Him.

I declare unto you that you are anointed with oil that breaks every yoke of bondage!  Even as shepherds in the natural anoint the sheep’s head with oil to keep the flies from them, I declare that every irritating distraction is repelled by the anointing of the Lord. In His anointing, distractions and irritants cannot take hold! I speak a supernatural wisdom and discernment enabling you to keep your lamp full of oil! I declare a cup of overflowing that will never run dry from this place of knowing and trusting in the Lord. I declare unto you His goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life and you will dwell in His house forever, for you lay hold of the truth of who He is!

2) THE TABLE OF THE KING’S COVENANT, WHERE WE PARTAKE OF AND EMBRACE OUR NEW IDENTITY

If you are born again, you are a new creature and have rights to partake of heavenly and natural blessings in this life! David had a covenant with King Saul’s son Jonathan. After David became King, and Saul and Jonathan were both deceased, David asked, “… Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” (2 Sam. 9:1)

Mephibosheth was the only one left, living a beggar’s life because he was lame in both feet. He lived in Lo-debar, which means no pasture. It was a dry place with no life, contrasted with the green pastures spoken of in Ps. 23. David brought Mephibosheth into his household to eat at his table and restored to him all the lands that were at one time Saul’s, and therefore, Mephibosheth’s.  Mephibosheth means shattering shame. The Lord wants you to understand who He has created you to be; through covenant and new life, I declare shame is shattered! I decree all that is yours by right of covenant be restored to you and your bloodline, in Jesus Name!

You who were once dead are now alive unto God, restored to the blessings of the covenant given by God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ! We were as Mephibosheth, crippled by sin, yet now joint heirs with Christ. There is a place prepared for you by Jesus (Jn. 14:2), a place of many mansions. The root of the word mansion means dwelling place! All that has been prepared for you to walk in, ordained even before the world, is available to you. The table of destiny is set for you, a child of the King. Kingdom rights and privileges are yours, through Christ. You are redeemed; the old is dead and buried, you are seated in the heavenlies with Christ! See yourself in this place and live from this place in the natural, with faith, hope and expectation! All that you have need of shall be provided!

” Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth.” (Mar 9:23 KJV)

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].” (Mar 11:24 KJV)

“But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luk 12:31-32 KJV)

3) THE SET FOR GOD’S ENEMIES DEMISE THROUGH DIVINE STRATEGIES AND DAUNTLESS ENDEAVORS

There is a table that is already set for the enemies of God. It has been established from old, from the time when the books were written. God set up Esther to receive the scepter of favor from the King and turn the tables on Haman’s plans for destruction of God’s people. God is stirring up men and women today who recognize His authority and favor; recognize you have access to the throne of grace, you have the ear of the King! Jesus said if we ask anything in His name, it shall be done.

I hear the Lord saying He is raising up those who are dauntless – fearless, resolute, bold, courageous, full of faith. He says, “I have given you the keys to the Kingdom, it is time for divine induction – come up higher and receive my instruction. I will show you what to bind and loose, it is time to tighten the noose. The enemy has overplayed his hand; my ministering angels will hear My commands. Bind and loose as I give you utterance, you have My authority, establish My governance!  Watch and see the plans of the enemies disabled, divine justice bringing a turning of tables. My angels are moving, separating the tares from the wheat, it is not time to turn back in defeat!  I will remove those moving in arrogance and pride and reveal and establish those who are on My side!  Many shall come forth for I am opening the eyes of those who have been bound by lies. The table is set for My enemies demise!”
