Recently I was driving and looked up to see a magnificent rainbow. The colors were breathtakingly brilliant, and it filled the entire sky. This captured my attention as it was the most complete rainbow that I have seen in a long time. Even more astonishingly, it was a twinned rainbow – a double rainbow. As I gazed upon this sign of wonder, I was immediately brought into an awareness of God’s majesty and presence.
Genesis 9:12-17 reveals the significance of the rainbow. The word tells us that God created the rainbow as a sign of His covenant between God and His creation. A covenant is an agreement that parties will fulfill their promises to one another. As I began to seek the Lord about this moment, I sensed it was a sign that we are in a season where God is fulfilling His promises to His people. Over the next week God began to reveal ways that He is fulfilling promises to His people. We can be assured that God is moving and bringing to pass the promises because it is His very nature to do so.
God Your Deliverer
To the ones who have been standing in battle, the LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD invincible in battle is going to enter your circumstances. He is a covenant keeping God and He will not leave you. As you begin to magnify Him during your circumstances you will begin to see a shift in your circumstances. Take your eyes off the battle and begin to lift your praise and look at Him. Praise is key right now! It wins the battle. As you praise His name and what He has done the anointing for warfare is released and you will be given new keys and strategies in your warfare. He is training your hands for battle as the word says in Psalm 81 & 144. As you call on the King of Heaven, His armies are released just as Psalm 24 declares. One night I felt intense spiritual warfare and prayed on and off all night. When I awoke in the morning the Spirit spoke and said, “the back of the snake is broken” and I had a picture of a limp snake upside clearly with a broken back. I immediately felt a release from the warfare and received a confirmation of a change in a situation later that day from a long held spiritual battle.
God Your Faithful One
To the ones believing for the impossible. God’s heart is so pleased with you! You have sung when you were barren (Isaiah 54) and when others said it was not to be. You have chosen to still believe in the nature of the covenant keeping God. You have lifted your voice in song when there was only loss and grief, doubt and disbelief, and your song has been changed to one of joy and belief that you WOULD see the goodness of God in your life. You have believed in His nature to fulfill His word. You will see the fulfillment of every promise. The Spirit says, SEE with the new eyes HE has given you in this season. SEE the enlargement, not only will you receive what you have believed for, you will receive more than you can imagine or dream of, just like the double rainbow – there is double abundance for you. God is enlarging your house because You have believed in His Nature and waited for Him to come through – just as Sarah and Abraham did. Hebrews 6:13-14. Faith has been your bread and your reward will be an increase in His presence.
God Your Travailler
We have stepped into a season where God is showing himself as our travailler. Isaiah 66:7 says, “Before she was in labor, she gave birth; before she was in pain, she delivered a boy.” God is bringing forth answers to our prayers BEFORE we begin to intercede for them! I had only briefly prayed for something recently, thinking that I would bring that before the Lord in more detail later, but before I could, the answer came. He is wanting to astound us with His care and provision. How suddenly and painlessly He can turn a situation around. In the original language one of the meanings for labor or travail is to bring a change. There is a strong sense of delivery of your promises, and He has taken on Himself the pain of the change. You who are BIRTHING a new purpose in the Kingdom – this is a promise that not only will God birth through you what He intends but He will travail for you in this season. Suddenly things will turn, and you will see them come to pass without even understanding how it is possible. Just as God kept His word to the nation of Israel and all humanity through the birth of Jesus, you will see His covenant fulfilled in a miraculous way.
Whatever you are waiting on, your promises from God, He is bringing them into being right now.
“…imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” Hebrews 6:12b
