Urgent Heart Check – A Word by Dawn Baker
God’s been provoking me in dreams this week. Last night, in a dream, I was on my way to URGENT Care. I had a vehicle to take me to the right street but I had to get out and walk alone, against traffic, the rest of the way. Once I was at the urgent care, I saw a provider named ‘Mary’, who was very detailed, checking me over, then ordering blood work.
Leaving the clinic, to go have blood work, there was a storm swirling; anyone looking up could see a long line of ominous dark storm clouds. Suddenly, I saw stars in a straight row shooting across the darkness; but, my eyes focused on the one final star, having 5 points with every side blazing with fire.
Finally, I’m back in the urgent care being told the Blood work is ALL GOOD! Then Mary reaches for her stethoscope to listen to my heart.
Is Your Heart Alright?
God’s clearing speaking a strong message to The Body right now. Without the heart pumping the Blood properly, The Body will not be whole or healthy. So, THE HEARTS wellness is Critical.
Jesus came to restore us to walking and talking with God, just as Adam & Eve did; our very own ‘one on one’ relationship with our Father, God. Sin required blood sacrifice; Jesus paid that in full declaring, “IT IS FINISHED”. Now, It’s all Personal.
God longs for intimacy with us. His heart is for us, longing for our heart to be His, completely His. It’s always been about LOVE. The vehicle (Love) worked to get us here but true intimacy is our choice and always requires our heart check, returning to when we first encountered True Love, that transforming moment.
Like Mary, we’ve been CHOSEN. Chosen to carry LOVE Himself, a 21st century Ark of The Covenant. Prepared to specific specifications, loaded with personal credibility, uniquely formed and fashioned, positioned to ‘be’ Sons and Daughters, just as Jesus, reflecting the heart of The Father. Our faith only works through LOVE. The Blood paid to restore us to LOVE. Now, we must choose.
Choose Love.
