What Is The Battle Of Faith? – A Word by Edward Franklin Eberly

The battle of faith consists of many things that we encounter in our walk with Jesus but that is not the battle of faith. The battle of faith in a nutshell is simply taking God’s Word of who we are in Jesus, what we have in Him, His Promises to us, how to live our lives, what He has called us personally to do which is our calling and making it all a reality into our lives.

Php 2:12  “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” We as Christians need to read and study God’s Word. 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” We need to meditate on the Word and get revelation on it which gives us a deeper and better understanding of it enabling us to be more effective in our faith and seeing God move in and through our lives.

Joshua 1:8  “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”  Many in the Body of Christ are not taking the scriptures and applying them to their lives and seeing how they work knowing that God’s Word says what it means and means what it says. It is a lifetime of applying God’s Word to our lives, learning and growing in the faith seeing the reality of God’s Word, and not just quoting it and saying it to others but having the testimony of how it has and is working for us on a daily basis.

God wants us to believe and trust Him in all areas of life but how can this happen if we don’t apply the scriptures and learn how to live and see the scriptures become real and work in our lives coming to the place that what we are challenged with, we face by using God’s Word and having a testimony of how God took care of it for us. This should be the most important thing in our lives to come to the place that whatever we face, God gave us the answer in His Word, we believe and receive it, not concerned, but knowing that He has it and it is a done deal. 1 Jn 5:14,15  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

Don’t complicate God’s Word, just believe it, receive it, and declare it and then thank God for it because it will manifest sometimes immediately, sometimes a little later, and sometimes later, but stand in the force of Patience until it manifests in your life. James 1:4  “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” Lastly, stand fast and don’t turn away from your faith in whatever you are believing God for by your words, thoughts, actions, and reactions.

Hebrews 10:35  “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.”
