WHEN GOD PASSES BY
I did not want to go to church today.
I was too busy wallowing in self-pity. My focus was on my circumstances rather than my God. Reluctantly, I went. It was all I could do to muster up the strength to get out the door. When I arrived I could hear the worship from the parking lot. This made it worse. I didn’t want to hear happy sounds. My misery wanted company but not that kind. Finally the last song ended and I decided to go inside. Maybe I could find someone that will have empathy for me and pray me out of my funk.
The Lord had something else in mind.
At church, I normally stand in the back because I like to SEE what is happening in the room. As I’m standing there, right away I see a woman in a wheelchair. She is being pushed right towards me. She is a paraplegic and cannot move a muscle. As she is pushed towards me The Lord deals with my self-pity. Instantly things are put back into perspective. I received the spank from my loving FATHER that I needed. But then something unexpected happened. As the caretaker pushed the woman passed I saw three Angels following her. Immediately everything that I had carried into the church that morning melted away and I was filled with hope and joy! As the woman and the Angels passed by, The Lord spoke to me and said; “the Angels that follow her bless the people that she passes by!”
One of the enemy’s tactics is to get our focus off of God and on to self. The enemy knows that if he can get us self consumed it will cause us to miss what God has for us and what God wants to do for others through us. When we give place to the lies of the enemy and focus on circumstances we run the risk of becoming snared in the trap of self-pity. Self-pity will stop you in your tracks. It can cause us to miss God passing by in our lives (I did not want to go to church). I’m glad that I went because it was an appointed time and I was able to receive the blessing God had for me. You don’t want to miss it when God passes by . . .
As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”
He called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?”
“Lord, I want to see,” he replied.

Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God. Luke 18: 35-43 (NIV)
God uses his children to bless others. So we need to be in the right place at the right time so others will be touched. God used the woman in the wheelchair to touch me simply because I was in the right place as she passed by . . .
As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Acts 5:15 (NIV)
Even Jesus was helped by someone who was passing by at the appointed time . . .
A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross. Mark 15:21 (NIV)
If God can use a passer by from the country, Peter’s shadow and a wheelchair bound woman. God can use you and I!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12: 1-3 (NIV)
You have a great destiny in God. So do not loose heart. Don’t let the enemy stop you in your tracks. Instead overcome evil with good. Let’s go out and finish this race. His touch will come. We just need to make sure we are in the right place at the right time when . . .
GOD PASSES BY!
A TURNAROUND FOR YOU..
A word by Dana Jarvis
I decree you are making the spiritual journey from the bondage of Egypt into your promised land of destiny. I know you have grown weary. Do not let the murmurings and complaining attitudes rule you. It causes the faith to waiver! Your focus is upon the cup of bitter waters that you are currently drinking from.
Rest assured that your God is making these bitter waters sweet!
You shall taste and see that the Lord is good! You are going to see such extravagance in your daily life. He is delivering much into your hands so reach up and take hold. Just as he was with you before, he is with you now. You are going to drink deep of the Living Waters. The bitter waters of life have tried to steal all joy.
However I hear the Lord say, “It is done, I am the Lord who heals you. I am the Lord who will restore you. I am the Lord who will provide your every need. I am the One that is making the bitter waters sweet!”
I feel so strongly that God is removing your cup of bitter waters you have had to drink for so long. He is causing a turnaround for you in a situation that you desperately need him to move. I am speaking to several and know this word is for you. Even as the Lord led Moses and the children of Israel from their bondage at the Red Sea, it still took one step of faith. One step of faith is all it takes to cause a release from all of this. Take a moment and sow into good ground by giving into Spirit Fuel. For just a contribution of $25, $50, or even $100 or more given into Spirit Fuel is an active step and good ground on which to sow. It is a powerful ministry reaching the world for Christ. As you sow that offering, it is that act of faith that will cause the Red Sea where you are standing to part in your life. The bitter cup will be removed and the sweetness of the Lord shall begin to flow!
