When God Stops Establishing Your Steps He Begins Establishing Your Knees- Then Everything Changes!

This morning Lana Vawser posted a word about a vision where she saw God’s people “throwing their 2020 calendars into the fire.” As I read these words I began to ponder why, for the first time in thirty years, I did not buy a wall calendar or daily planner for 2020? Was it because we were moving in January and I was just too busy? But, no…I always pick it out in December and my sweet husband gets it for me for Christmas. But I just didn’t feel to as we entered 2020. I felt like there was no way to plan what the Lord would do.
Proverbs 16:9 says, “The heart of man plans his ways, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
This verse has always filled me with such confidence in going forward into the future. It has filled me with hope and joy to know that even if I get “my plans” wrong that He will order and establish my steps as I live in a posture of surrender and of yielding to His will.
But suddenly even our steps are stopped! Plans are cancelled and a divine “moment in time” has been established. I asked the Lord, “What are Your steps for me in this time.” I was answered by a vision of my shoes coming off and my feet leaving the ground as my “knees were being established.” With that vision my heart bowed down in worship, in silent meditation, in prayer and in knowing that HE IS GOD. My knees have become my established posture and single step for 2020.
So many prophesied that 2020 would be a year of divine focus and clear vision and there has never been a more accurate word! As the planners have been set aside, the events stopped and the calendars reveal only blank boxes, suddenly the Bride has gone in to the chambers with her Bridegroom to rediscover first love. And it is within these closed doors of intimacy that He is sharing His mysteries with her; even His strategies and His plans. But first, He is awakening love!
Yesterday morning I looked at my husband and said, “What is that fragrance that you are wearing?” He looked at me a bit baffled and replied, “Deodorant. The same one I wear everyday.” But I was all the way across the room and a fragrance that was so refreshing, clean and awakening filled my senses. I lingered in it and knew that I must be smelling the fragrance of “love awakening.” There is a fragrance of “oneness” that is awakening His bride.
The doorway into His chambers are often found in that place where our shoes are removed and our feet cease to move– it’s the place where we enter in upon our knees. I saw “knees established” so that future steps will be aligned. There is no going back and we do not want to; this is a time to move forward from a personal awakening and reformation that sparks a global awakening and reformation. For me, it’s a time to lay it all down and yield. Yield to “oneness with Christ” which only happens in His chambers. Oneness doesn’t happen in crowds or in events, it happens in the chambers of our hearts and behind closed doors.
A new wine skin is being established that will hold the new wine that will be poured out. If God had poured out the new wine into the old wine skin it surely would have burst and been wasted. Be ever so careful to not hold onto the old ways, the former plans and as Lana spoke, “…to want to get back to what we were doing before this Selah.” We must receive the invitation into His chambers where we yield to Him in a oneness that comes only through intimacy and communion together. Oneness will hold the new wine. It is the true answer to Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21-23, “That they would be one even as we are one…”
Remove your shoes and allow your steps to cease and your knees to be established. There is a great awakening but it is happening first in the chambers of intimacy. It is there that He will establish oneness (He will set it as a seal upon your heart) and then He will share the mysteries and the secrets of His heart.
My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise my darling, my beautiful one, come away with me.” Song of Solomon 2:10
Let your steps take you to your knees where you will arise and go with Him to the place that love is awakened and oneness is sealed.
