When God’s Presence Pursues You by Andy Sanders

I sat up, startled and vexed, yet in a heavenly awe of what had just transpired while at the Morning Star hotel. The dream was so real that I can still recall nearly every part over twelve years later (I stayed in one of the few rooms finished at that time). I knew God was saying something; little did I know that one dream would change the course of my entire life.
While asleep in the hotel, Bob Jones (in the dream) came through the doorway to my room and sat on the foot of my bed. With both hands, he held the glory of God in a golden, brilliantly illuminated ball. I sat up and thought about asking him what it was. Before I could get a word out he said to me, “This is the glory of God.” Then he took a golden writing pen out of the radiant glory ball and reached over to give it to me. But as the pen came near my hands he withdrew it and said, “But you’re not ready yet.” Some time later I awoke. My spirit was supercharged, knowing that God just said something very important to me. I didn’t know Bob Jones too well, so at a later time I approached him in person and told him the dream. He said a lot that really touched me, but most of all he pointed out that the glory of God was upon my life to write to the nations and that when it was time for the true impartation, it would come through someone else and not him. (Before I go further, I want to point out that I am not a spiritual son of Bob Jones, nor was I ever personally mentored by him. Like many others, I only had a few casual conversations with him.)
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us (2 Corinthians 4:7 NIV).
The call of God on a person’s life is serious, forged through cultivating the disciplines required to meet the assignment. Knowing this, I began writing more often. I started writing to about five people each week for a solid year. Two of them really didn’t care to read my writings, but God kept telling me to write to them every week and don’t quit.
Over the next several years I continued refining my writing skills, all the while searching deep as to why the golden pen had been pulled back and why Bob said that I wasn’t ready yet. This rattled my spiritual foundation for a while in more ways than one! I knew that if I was getting a golden pen from heaven, I certainly didn’t want anything in my life to forfeit that.
Eventually, a smaller venue picked up my writings for a while. Then about four years later, I was asked to speak at a conference in Cyclone, Pennsylvania. I had never heard of the place before. I knew of the other guest speaker, Bill Yount, but had never personally met him. We ministered together at the conference and were both amazed at how well we blended. It was as if we were speaking from the same notes using the same exact Scriptures.
That weekend, something happened that fulfilled what Bob Jones had said to me about the dream. On the final Sunday service Bill and I ended up near the book tables, and Bill handed me a signed copy of his book and told me to look on a certain page. As I was flipping there, Bill said, “Andy, about twenty years ago I had a vision of golden pens falling down from the sky for His people to write God’s glory on the earth. God said to me that I would personally meet some of those who are called to carry these golden pens.” Bill asked, “What hand do you use to write with?” I told him that I was right handed, already feeling the presence of God in that moment. He placed his hands on my shoulders and said, “You are one of the golden pen carriers.” He then prayed for me and heaven flooded my body. I knew that what God said through the dream with Bob Jones and then what Bob later spoke to me was happening on that day in Pennsylvania.
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. (2 Peter 1:5-9 NIV).
From that moment on it was as if God’s presence pursued my writing career far more than I could ever pursue Him. When God’s presence is pursuing your life it’s like spiritual momentum everywhere you go. God’s presence overwrote my inability. When this happens the pieces fall into place, the gearing parts join together instead of work against each other, and simple appointments become supernatural connections everywhere a person goes. What most people are lacking to move the call of God forward in their life is spiritual momentum. Momentum is defined as the impetus (the force that makes something happen more quickly) gained by a moving object.
What changed from the time I had the dream till my writings went international? God squeezed the old nature out and reconfigured me. Had God given me this gift at the time of the dream, it would have been like giving a baby a fire-hose—dangerous enough to harm someone. His redesign often comes through many dangers, toils, and snares, developing in us the daily disciplines needed to carry the call of God on our lives. We have to learn to deal with rejection, failure, insecurities, and the critics; this is God’s checklist for refining our lives. It’s the prerequisite for biblical kingdom living. God loves us more than He loves our talents and careers, so He wants to make sure that we become seasoned in God’s Word—learning how to function through life’s circumstances. God takes great pleasure in watching His children focus on accomplishing what He set out to have them do. Even Noah and his family built the ark for themselves; they didn’t hire another contractor to do the work while they sat back and enjoyed the sun or shade (Heb. 11:7). Great athletes go through excessive pains daily to perfect their skills. Writers are well-organized wordsmiths, refining their craft over and over again.
We cannot depend on someone else to go through the birthing pains for our calling. It is your baby, your assignment, your duty—a refinement that only you can walk through. Accepting His call requires dedication to the process. It is here that God’s presence pursues you more than you can pursue God. Why? He takes great delight in finding glory through the hard work of His saints. Then it becomes Christ working through us, the over-comer, rather than Christ working around us in order to get the job done that was our responsibility. When we grab our own plows and work the fields that God has called us into, it is an honor given back to Him for the call placed upon our lives. I have met many people who received the call to write a book—but they never followed through with the responsibility and obligations to get it completed. Maybe they wrote the manuscript but want someone else to go through the birth pains to launch it. But it is the process that God takes great delight in watching us journey through. We want the ending yesterday when God is only just beginning tomorrow.
The bottom line is that He called us to birth the calling all the way through, at all costs—and it is here when the Spirit realm takes over the natural realm and His presence pursues our paths more than we can pursue Him. Multiplication kicks in and timing falls into place. People work on your behalf because they see your ability. It is like a geyser of the heavenlies coming into your life.
Looking back, I am so grateful that this writing gift was denied the first time around because going through the process in order to get it is something I will always cherish and be thankful for. Had it been given to me at a much earlier time, I wouldn’t honor it as much as I do now. The delays and processes that some of you are walking through right now might just be God making sure that you will cherish what He is planning for the next chapter of your life. It might seem tough and feel like things are not lining up, but God is working the best for your life before you get there.
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope (Romans 5:3-4 NIV).

Miracle Of Multiplication!
A Word by Joel Yount
This morning I felt the Lord say, “This is your season of multiplication! Watch as I promote you to the palace of royalty. Watch your finances multiply as you invest in my Kingdom!”
The Lord reminded me of the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 in the Bible. In Luke 9:16, it says, “Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people.”
5,000 people were fed and provided for that day because of the miracle of multiplication.  We serve a God of Miracles!
Do not look at your current situation you are facing in the natural.
God is about to do something supernatural! The strong winds attempting to blow you down are actually moving you into new blessings and territory!
Right now I encourage you to sow a seed of $50, $35, or $25 into Spirit Fuel and name it “Financial Breakthrough” as an act of faith that supernatural provision is coming into your life. By sowing a seed today into Spirit Fuel, you will be helping to reach more people on the internet for the Kingdom of God. It takes a dedicated team and resources to maintain the Spirit Fuel platform. There are 25 of you I believe the Lord is calling you to sow a specific seed of $125.
As you sow today, name your seed as we are praying and believing for your needs today.

Call Forth Your Lazarus!

A Word by Dana Jarvis

The word of God is powerful. Nothing can stop, corner or prevent it. When God said, "Let there be light" there was light. When he spoke over Lazarus, the power of the grave could not resist his command when he said,

"Lazarus, Come Forth!"

Speak to your Lazarus to come forth. It may be dead, buried and stinking, but to him that believes, nothing shall be impossible. If Lazarus came forth, your situation can come forth, but first you must speak it forth with power. God said his word would not return void until it accomplished that which it was sent out to do.

Your situation may be powerful, but the Word of God is more powerful. The Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword. When His Word goes forth it healed and delivered. It accomplished the mission for which it was sent to do.

Jesus said, "I Am the Resurrection and the Life!" The Resurrection is standing with you right now. He is giving you peace in the midst of your turbulence. He will calm you in the midst of pressures that threaten to swallow you. The King is with you, dry bones can live again. Tell everything dead and stinking in your life to come forth today. Speak to your Lazarus!

The Resurrection of some situations are upon you. That which looked dead we decree for it to come alive. Reach out today and help others unlock their destiny in Christ by making a love offering to Spirit Fuel today. Each offering helps this ministry reach countless others for the Kingdom. Partner with them today for an abundant harvest. Spirit Fuel is thankful for all its partners and for every love offering given, a decree of double in every area of your life we proclaim in Jesus mighty name.
