WINTER HARVEST AND ABUNDANCE ARE HERE- A Word by Rene Parsons

Daniel 2:21

He changes times and seasons;

He deposes kings and raises up others.

He gives wisdom to the wise

and knowledge to the discerning.

It doesn’t matter what is happening around you. We can be sensitive to and use wisdom in what is happening in the natural. But GOD…can shift your season in an instant and He is bringing his people an unseasonable harvest.

DON’T BE PASSIVE. BRING YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD.

Did you know you can literally partner with God in shifting your personal season AND the season around you?

Mary petitioned Jesus to perform a miracle at the wedding of Canna. She saw the problem of the wine running out and how it would affect the event. It must have been a wedding of someone they cared about deeply. She insisted with Jesus, even after He said it was not His time. This would be the very first time He performed a miracle publicly. Talk about Mary changing God’s course and season with her heartfelt petition for her friends!

Jesus deeply cares about you and His Kingdom as a whole. God is moving some puzzle pieces around and soon you will see the picture of harvest in a seemingly unusual time of year and unusual time in your life.

YOU ARE FERTILE AND FRUITFUL ALL YEAR LONG.

You are a child of and created in, the image of the most high God, Jesus Christ. You are not a bear who hibernates in winter and only gives birth in spring. You were designed to conceive and bear fruit 12 months-52 weeks-365 days a year.

Psalm 92:12-13

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,

they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;

planted in the house of the LORD,

they will flourish in the courts of our God.

You are like the palm tree and the cedar of Lebanon! God is saying to you here, that you are an evergreen.

You grow year-round, whether in the dead of winter and snow like the cedar of Lebanon or in the harshest desert like the palm. You can stand and grow in extreme conditions. Not many pests hinder the cedar of Lebanon. Its resilience means one tree can affect the landscape of the earth for generations. The palm’s fruit grows sweeter with age. Its fruit is even more coveted later in its life.

YOU ARE USEFUL AND SET APART.

Hiram supplied Solomon with cedar trees from Lebanon for the construction of the temple and the king’s palace. Cedars were also used in the building of the second temple under Zerubbabel. Palms were laid down before the Lord as he rode the donkey into Jerusalem. We are called to lay down all we have, gifts, talents, and fruit, for our king. Palms are extremely useful! Palms can produce oil, resin, dates, sugar, wine, honey, rope, thread, tannin, and dyestuff. Its leaves can be used for everything from baskets to roofs and its seeds can be fed to livestock.

YOU ARE PURE AND DEEPLY ROOTED IN GOD’S TRUTH.

“The Hebrew word for cedar comes from a root word meaning firm and strong. It is known for the “firmness of roots” (Gesenius’ Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon).

The Hebrew for Lebanon means whiteness, purged and cleansed of sin. Isaiah 1:18 “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white (lawban) as snow.”

YOU ARE UNIQUELY MADE.

Don’t start comparing yourself and journey to another. There are more than 2500 species of palm, all with a specific purpose and niche to fulfil. Your walk is different than those around you because your purpose to be fulfilled in the earth is specific and unique. God knitted you together in the depths of the earth purposefully, so you could fulfil the work He prepared in advance for you to do. (Psalm 139:15, Eph 2:10)

Look to start seeing blooms in new and unexpected places. The harvest is upon us.
