“You are not Losing Ground but you are taking Territory” – A Word by Peggy Jones

As I was worshiping the Lord this week, I saw an Army of people on horses. The commander was in front and He yelled “Charge.” There was such determination on the faces of the people and strength seemed to oozed out of them. They were rushing forward with great energy and enthusiasm. It was obvious that they were moving on to victory. I then heard the words, “It might look like you are losing ground but you are actually taking territory in this time and season.”
As God started to unpack this short vision it became more clear. When we look at what is going on all around us it can seem as if we are losing our freedoms to live our lives in a way that honors God. I know many pastors who are frustrated because their churches are not filled to capacity like they were 30 or 40 years ago. When we look at how our culture has changed it can be discouraging. But there is another way to look at things. We can look at things not as they seem naturally but as they really are supernaturally.
In 2 Corinthians 4:18, it says, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” God works in the eternal, we often perceive things in the moment we are in right now. God wants us to change our perspective.
It may seem like we are being defeated. It may appear as if we are losing ground. But what if God was behind the scenes putting everything together for our good. I believe God is setting the stage for a great outpouring of His Spirit. Beloved of God, this is not the time to retreat, we are not losing ground but we are quietly taking territory. It might not be real evident yet but just wait a little while, victory is coming!
As I prayed more into all of this I believe that behind the scenes God is planting seeds of victory in politics, entertainment, education, economics and culture. We are gaining territory in all of these areas in the spiritual realm and it will soon be apparent in the natural realm.
As for our individual personal struggles in this season, whether they be in health, relationships, finances, disappointments or whatever I urge you not to retreat in defeat. Because in reality you are advancing. The manifestation of your victory will soon be evident!
The enemy has been working hard to convince us that we are losing the battles in this season. The tactics used have been very deceptive. Some of the weapons that have come against us have been fear, discouragement and disappointment. The weapons have been used to wear out the Saints so we would retreat right before we win.
Be encouraged today. I pray that God will give you the eyes to see with an eternal perspective. I pray that hope and strength will rise up in your Spirit as God feeds you fresh revelation of victory. Remember, “you are not losing ground, but you are taking territory.”
