A few weeks ago, my husband and I were on a trip with another couple, friends of ours. The wife kept making a strange sound with her mouth that was escaping involuntarily. She couldn’t understand why she kept making the sound, and neither could her husband. It would just come out of her. He said he could always find her in the store and he jokingly referred to it as her “mating call”.

Fast forward about 3 weeks later and I noticed after a few days I was making a strange noise too; a different one, but also involuntarily. It just came out of me without my even thinking about it. I thought it strange and didn’t connect it to my friends, until… this last week as I was walking around our local Christian bookstore, I heard a woman begin to do a similar thing. At that point I began to ask the Lord, “What are these noises bursting forth from us into the atmosphere and what are you saying?”

He immediately reminded me of a teaching I had done a couple weeks prior at church, regarding the Hebrew year of 5780 we have moved into, the year of the mouth. In this sermon, I had been teaching on the fact that sound creates movement and in this season our sound, or the words of our mouth would create our forward movement. This is a season we need to decree what the Lord has been speaking to us, particularly concerning our dreams and visions. As we speak forth those decrees, they will open doors and cause breakthrough to come in the areas we have been believing the Lord for.

I’m not sure about the lady I heard in the bookstore, but I know for my friend and myself, there is much movement happening in both our lives. The “mating call” her husband jokingly referred to is the sound of restoration in their marriage. For me, my sound is almost like a rocket taking off – (weird, I know) it’s the sound of a ministry the Lord has called me to launch.

Each sound I heard released was unique with its own distinct sound effect. As I meditated on this, the thought occurred to me, what if we put all the sounds together to create a sort of band, or one unified sound? Imagine what that would sound like? I thought of Pentecost as each one raised their voice in their own language all at once. Heaven came down!

Acts 2:1-2 “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.”

I believe what the Lord is saying is that each of us has a unique sound designed just for us that will move heaven on earth in our circumstance. I began to see as each of our unique sounds came together with one voice, as the voice of many waters, it rose to the Throne of God and He began to act on our behalf.

The winds of heaven began to blow causing a bursting forth or breakthrough in lives. It brought answers to long-awaited prayers and not only caused a breakthrough in circumstances but unlocked the blessings that have been held back in in so many lives.

Release your faith and believe it is coming, and when it does, don’t forget to raise your voice and give God the glory!

It reminded me of Acts 4:24 “So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,”

Being in one accord released the power of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and led to the birthing of the church on earth and many signs and wonders. So, open your mouth and let those sounds escape into your atmosphere. Decree and declare what God has shown you; speak to the dreams and visions you are incubating. Join with others God has connected you with in this season – you can’t do it alone – and release your symphony unto the Lord. Heaven will move on your behalf.

It is time for your sound to move you forward!
